JOSHUA POV -

Four months passed since Isabella died. The murder case was still going on and it was still a struggle to prove you innocent. You said multiple times that you visited Main House to drop Jia. Joshua nowadays thought of asking Jia if that was really true but then again, his heart felt conflicted. He didn't want to drag Jia in all chaos. Moreover, the school didn't reported anything about this incident to him anyway. He still visited to Jia's school to inquire more about it, but they refused saying that such thing never happened. They told him that the teacher in charge herself dropped Jia home. Just to cross check Joshua asked security about it but security also refused about school bus dropping Jia home. At this point Joshua didn't knew whom to trust. Everything was strange and his mind wasn't working right.

Joshua hired a nanny for Jia after few days for the first time. He didn't trusted outsiders with Jia but this time there wasn't option. The nanny was nice though and Jia also looked pretty much comfortable with her. Jia questioned and questioned him about Isabella but Joshua skillfully avoided those questions and handled the conversation gently. He tried spending his time with Jia.

He was lately worried for you. He visited you often, but you always refused to meet him in alone. You were still staying at Jung kook's apartment, so it was hard for him to meet you. He kept meeting you in court. You looked tired lately and it was understandable. Legal world was tiring especially if you are suspect, Joshua was well aware about this thing. He was feeling completely powerless since he wasn't to help you. You even refused any kind of help from him when he approached you.

This afternoon Joshua returned home early. He directly entered bedroom as always. He chuckled looking at Jia who seem to be on some search mission with the nanny. Joshua didn't disturbed Jia and entered inside the connected bathroom to freshen up. When Joshua returned inside, he saw Jia on bed fumbling with something in her small hands. Joshua joined her on bed to pull her on his lap earning a giggle from Jia. Joshua sat on the edge of bed with Jia in his lap, Joshua's hand smooth over Jia's dress as held her protectively against her. His small girl was the only reason of his happiness. He could see his reflection in her and the joy she brought to him was truly something.

"Hey sweetheart." Joshua greeted Jia placing small kiss on top of her head. Jia smiled at Joshua.

"What were you doing, sweetheart?" Joshua asked in gentle voice while rubbing her back. Jia leaned in his touch as she opened her palm to show a old broken daisy bracelet to Joshua. Joshua stared at the bracelet in confusion before picking it up to have a good look at it. Jia didn't own that bracelet he knew. He wasn't sure where she got that as it was looking really old.

Joshua's heart skipped a beat when he turned the bracelet around and the engraved initials came to his sight. The bracelet brought back multiple memories and questions.

"Y/n Unnie gave me this. I was lost on school trip; she gave me this because I was feeling lonely. Look, it has my initial and her initial too." Jia kept speaking making Joshua's head spin. You gave her this bracelet but how you got it. Where was the owner of the bracelet, the person that was Joshua's everything, the person that Joshua kept looking for so long.

"That day mama shouted on me for taking this from Unnie and threw it after snatching it. I was looking for it so many days and today I found it." Jia announced with excitement in her voice. So, you were telling the truth. You were in Main house to drop Jia and Isabella was alive even after you left. His hold on Jia tightened as Joshua gulped down on nothing. He turned Jia around to face him.

"Y/n was here to drop you?" Joshua asked again in trembling voice and Jia nodded as yes.

"Baby. What happened after Y/n left?" Joshua again inquired his hold on Jia shaking.
