TRAPPED IN LACE | Joshua ff

CHAPTER - 21

JOSHUA POV-

Joshua and Chanyeol walked down the narrow Ally through darkness. Joshua's mind was chaotic right now thinking about all the possibilities.

"I just don't want to waste my time." Chanyeol scoffed looking at Joshua.

"You know what hyung? Just go back home. Weather Kang or Choi, I need to help her, she's innocent." Joshua spoke with a sigh. Chanyeol stayed quiet and walked behind Joshua.

FLASHBACK -

Memories from past flashed in front of Joshua as he navigated through the Ally. It was around twelve years ago when Joshua left for LA. He could still remember those late teenage days vividly. Chanyeol was his friend, they both were inseparable along with two sisters from neighborhood. Kang family was like friends with Hong and Park family in outskirt of Seoul. The eldest daughter of Kang family was around sixteen-year-old meanwhile the younger was nine years old. Both the sisters loved each other. The group of four was oddly close together despite the age difference between them. The elder sister of Y/n started liking Chanyeol who probably liked her back. Chanyeol was always respectful toward her. Y/n was fond of Joshua because how sweet the older boy was in the most innocent way. Joshua also took care of younger girl with all his heart since he was the only child. With his friends Joshua found sense of fulfillment. Y/n someday announced with giggles, out of innocence that she's going to marry Shua once she's older and the whole table laughed at family dinner. Joshua also laughed looking at the young girl who blinked her eyes cutely looking at him. Joshua was fond of the small girl who always kept following him with twinkling eyes full of curiosity. Everything was perfectly fine until Joshua's father decided to leave Korea and settling in LA for business.

The younger girl cried and cried after knowing the news. Everyone was upset with one of them parting away so long from them but no was able to do anything. Joshua felt sad knowing he was going to be all alone again, but he had to go.

"You stay here, shua oppa" y/n said with hopes in her eyes as she stared at Joshua in front of her.

"Little doll, that's not possible. I'll come back soon." Joshua said with smiley eyes not knowing how serious the younger girl was with her conversation. He thought it was not a big deal, not a deep connection, but what he didn't knew that the small girl was too attached to him. Joshua held her small hands in his, grazing the daisy bracelet on her wrist gently which was gifted by him. That was the first time he chose other things over little Y/n.

Joshua left for LA without thinking much just to receive the call after couple of days saying that the whole Kang family died in unfortunate accident. Joshua's world collapsed at once hearing the news. Kang family visited some of their relatives on the day of accident where Y/n forgot her daisy bracelet. When she realized it, she insisted on going back to take it, throwing tantrums even after lot of rejections from family. Since the youngest was apple of family's eye they decided to go find the bracelet in the end. They got the bracelet back but while returning the darkness had another plan. The accident happened on the way back to home and their car fell down in valley. No one survived in accident, the body of younger girl disappeared maybe some wild animal took it away after accident, everyone thought that. The reason of their sudden change in plan and going back to relative's home was well known to Chanyeol. His love died just like that, the blooming love between two teenagers ended with horror. Chanyeol was deeply hurt and started hating Joshua blaming him for all the things.
