Nothing and no one at Hogwarts existed that Tom was unaware of. Tom's authority stemmed from his knowledge, and his prefect rank served to amplify it further.

He could feel the weight of the students' attention as he strolled inside the library. Tom spared them not a glance, refusing to amuse them. Rather, as he got closer to the restricted section, he retrieved a key out of his pocket. He checked to his sides to make sure no one was watching him, then he unlocked the doors and slipped inside. He closed the door and brushed his fingers over the pale oak of the bookshelves.

Almost all of the books had dust on the spines, but he was unbothered as he looked for the letter 'G'. A smirk curled at the corners of his lips as he looked down at a black book. The lettering on the spine said, in exquisite silver calligraphy, "The Story of Gellert Grindelwald." He extended his hand, caressing the thin cover before retrieving the book.

He found the closest table, set his bags down, and sat. Tom glanced at the text that read "Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore" on a page that, at random, flickered open. He scoffed, knowing full well of the complicated past involving Grindelwald and his professor of Transfiguration. He turned the pages slowly until he found the one he had been searching for.

"Grindelwald and his allies."

The Beaumont family name instantly stood out. Sliding a hand along his temple, he perused the words.

For many years, the Beaumont family served as dedicated supporters of Grindelwald and his cause. They were consistently present at every one of Grindelwald's attacks throughout Europe. They are believed to be Grindelwald's most cherished allies. Lyra Beaumont was born on February 12, 1927, to Nicolas and Madeline Beaumont -

There was an image underneath the text. Standing between her parents was Lyra. The girl's light blonde locks were recognisable from a mile away even as a young child. On her right, Nicolas Beaumont, a man with dark hair. His hand was clasped around Lyra's, a smile on his face. Tom went to look at Madeline. She was a beautiful woman in her mid-30s who radiated elegance. The woman's hair was light, though not at all like her daughter's, due to Lyra having significantly lighter hair.

Lyra's parents looked to have considerably warmer complexions, and so, Tom found it strange that she had much paler skin and lighter hair.

Below, the writing went on:

In 1931, Nicolas and Madeline Beaumont, amongst many others, met their tragic end at the hands of the Ministry of Magic. During this attack, young Lyra also met an unfortunately early demise.

From that, Tom concluded that Gellert Grindelwald had regarded Lyra's survival - albeit in secret - to be integral, so essential that he'd ensured that the news of the end of their bloodline spread, but he did not know for what purpose.

As Lyra turned her back on the Professor and started to leave the classroom, Dumbledore's voice halted her. "Miss Beaumont, may I advise beginning with a check at the library? The restricted section might be beneficial to you." A key materialised in her palms as he snapped his fingers.

She gave a firm nod, turned, and headed for the library.

Lyra headed to the Restricted section and the librarian shot her a faint smile and did not look twice at her. When she put the key into the lock, it felt heavy in her hand. The wooden door creaked open to expose the section of the library that was not as well illuminated.
