NOTE: LOTF is set in like the 1950's. I was born in the 2000's. I know nothing of the lingo, and I'm not going to pretend to try. I'll try using as many lines from the book, but I may use current lingo here and there, oops.

"Hey Ria, we're going to take off soon. You might want to go take your seat." Her father instructed the young girl.
"But I want to stay up here with you." She complained.
"I'm sure there's another girl on the plane you can sit by." He offered.
"No! The whole plane's filled with boys. I heard Nancy and Martha talking at the desk before we boarded, they're evacuating a buncha school boys." She recalled.
"That's right, boys from all over the nearby counties. Surely you can hold your own talking to one of them?" He offered.
She scoffed. "Well of course I can. But the point is, I don't want to."
Her father sighed. "I'm sorry, Ria. I must prepare for takeoff now though. Why don't you go see if Renee will stop by to sit with you after take off?" He spoke, referring to the flight attendant the girl grew close with.
"Alright." She accepted. As she began to leave the cockpit, she noticed a paper, it looked like a list of names. Double checking that nobody was looking, she grabbed the paper and headed off to an empty seat.
"There's my favourite little passenger." Renee spoke cheerfully. She had stopped by to check on the girl while the other flight attendants gave the safety speeches. "Whacha got there?"
"It's a list I took from the front. I figured it'd be fine since there was an identical one underneath." She explained.
The flight attendant looked over. "Ah, yes we can do without one of those. It's just a list of unattended minors." She explained.
