The days went by, no plan being made. Instead, we both started to adapt to this new place. More so me since Alastor had been here already. The city was just as beautiful as the countryside. The demons were all hellborn that we ran into. A lot of them had purple hair, not quite like mine but a bright purple.

We checked out some restaurants, farmers markets, and even did a little shopping. Alastor and I spending almost every second together. I didn't grow tired of him, in fact, I grew closer to him. He'd tell me random facts about things which really had no impact on my life but I found it interesting. And boy was I not ready for the dad jokes this man has.

It was like he eased up a lot easier than me. Or just very good at hiding it. I was starting to think that his smile, that lovely yet sadistic smile, was a brave one. One which wasn't true most of the time but eased the pain. Smiling through the pain.

We fell asleep together, woke up together, spent the day together doing some unimportant thing. The days all really started to blend. It was like when I first went to Cannibal town, at first I was nervous and stressed but soon, I eased into it, everyday became the same but slightly different.

"You used to work at a bakery?" I laughed as Alastor pulled out a tray of muffins from the oven. "Oh heavens no, ha, my Mother taught me how to cook, and bake," he hummed as he set the tray on the stove top.

"Were you and your Mom close?" I leaned on the breakfast bar. "Very," Alastor spun around and walked over to me, leaning on the other side of the counter. "That's sweet... Actually that makes a lot of sense," I leaned onto my fist as I thought. "How so?" Alastor raised an eyebrow at me.

"You seem like mama's boy," I laughed slightly. "Well I'll take that as a compliment darling," he chuckled. "It is," I smiled at him. "Were you close with any of your parents?" He asked curiously. "Oh uh... no, not at all. I was their accident kid," I sighed as I rolled my eyes.

"That's why I was really close with Rosie, she was like the parent I never had," I smiled at the thought. "Well that's heartfelt," Alastor smiled warmly at me. "What about your Dad? Were you close with him at all?" I asked Alastor.

"Oh no, no, no. He left before I was born," Alastor shook his head in disgust. "That's a shame," I mumbled, not really knowing what else to say. "His loss, our gain," Alastor grinned. "Exactly," I smiled at him before he leaned over the counter, giving me a quick kiss.

I could get used to this. It felt like I had a house husband, albeit a crazed powerful overlord. He'd hum a tune well he walked around, which before I found annoying, I now quite admired. He made amazing food, surprising me a bit. He was caring and affectionate. Truly I saw why people called him a sweetheart, or why he called himself a gentleman... he really was one.

I was prepared to leave my life in the Pride ring behind and start a new chapter here. I was liking it here. The problems were slowly dissolving as the hours went on. All I could see was Alastor in this beautiful little cabin, and that made my heart flutter with a warm excitement.

Rosie's POV:

"It's been 5 days Vox, why have I not heard a word of good news?!" I was outraged. Y/n was missing with Alastor and I seemed to be the only one who truly gave a damn. "Rosie, dear, this stuff takes time," Vox said, sounding preoccupied and as if my call was a burden to him.

"I've given you the names that Lucifer has given to me 3 days ago, have you made any progress?" I seethed out. "Listen, reaching overlords in other rings in itself is a hard task, anddd overlords in other rings are not too eager just to grant access to anyone, this could realistically could take weeks, maybe months," Vox's words made my blood boil.
