"You believe us?" Cordelia asked that evening, seemingly shocked beyond comprehension.

I nodded.

"Sure. My family would use sage and stuff like that. I've seen ghosts," I replied nonchalantly.

Angel had filled me in on everything that was really going on, although I think the explanation took a lot longer than it needed to.

Cordelia gave me an hour-long lecture on Sunnydale and Angel's ex love interest Buffy and that was after Wesley giving me a briefing on every demon in the history of...well, history.

"You're not freaked?" Cordelia asked, her eyes wide. "Like, not even a little bit?"

I laughed slightly, confused as to why she was so disbelieving.

"Not really," I spoke. "So you think whoever killed the girl is invisible or something?"

Angel nodded.

"Something like that anyway. It doesn't make sense," he replied.

"What if it's a ghost?" Cordelia suggested and I frowned a little.

"They aren't usually so violent," I said.

"They might be if they have unfinished business. Cordelia and Wesley will look into it," Angel replied.

"We will?" Cordelia spoke, raising an eyebrow.

"What are you going to do?" Wesley asked.

"I'm going to see what I can find about Ms. Zhao. And the other kid," Angel spoke, nodding goodbye as he left the store.

"Do you guys wanna research here? We um, we have a computer," I suggested, smiling.

"I believe-"

"We don't need any of your dusty old books Wesley," Cordelia cut him off. "We can just check the database!"

"There's a demon database?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Unfortunately yes," Wesley grumbled and I grinned.

"Can I help?" I asked, hoping to be of use somehow.

"What do you know about the deaths?" Cordelia replied and I paused for a moment.

"Most of Emmeline's vital organs were missing. Heart, kidneys, liver,"

Cordelia shuddered but typed something in nonetheless.

"Maybe its something wrong with the shop," she commented while the website appeared to load.

"What?" I replied, distractedly twirling the ends of my hair.

"I said, maybe its something wrong with the shop. Like, its cursed or something," Cordelia snapped.

"Oh! Oh. I mean...it could be. But its not exactly a prime spot for people let alone demons. Or...cursy things," I spoke, for lack of a better word.

"Well duh, some kid was shot! I don't think that wacky fun fact is gonna be bringing people in in drives, Lily," she replied and I grimaced.

"Yeah. Anything on the demon database?" I asked.

"There's this thing. Its called a growl demon?" Cordelia spoke, frowning.

"Grull," Wesley replied without looking up from the paperback he was flicking through.

Cordelia glanced up and rolled her eyes.

"How very Giles of you,"

"Who's Giles?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest in amusement.
