The next day
Kelly: guys come on jays gonna be here soon
Thomas ran down stairs and the door bell rang.
Kelly: I'll get it
Thomas went and opened the door
Kelly: I said I was getting it
Thomas: well I got here before you
Kelly: I don't want you opening the door
Thomas: why?
Kelly: it's just you don't always know who will be at the door okay
Jay mouthed 'does he know?'
I just shook my head
Thomas: what's going on?
Jay: come on trouble you're gonna be late for school
Kelly: meds?
Thomas: mhm
Kelly: Thomas
Thomas: fine no
I went and got them and gave them to him and he took them.
Kelly: Kiara come on let's go
Kiara ran and gave Jay a hug
Kiara: JayJay
Jay: hey princess
The kids left with Jay

Thomas PoV
We got in jays car and we dropped Kiara to school before going to my school. We were on our way to my school and Jay was acting weird
Thomas: what are you and uncle kelly not telling me?
Jay: everything's fine
Thomas: why wouldn't it be?
Jay: it's nothing honestly
Thomas: Jay please
Jay: you have to speak to kelly about it okay?
Thomas: why don't you tell me?
Jay: I can't kelly needs to be the one to tell you
Thomas: you never keep things from me. You never lie to me. I thought I could trust you
Jay: you can trust me
Thomas: then Jay please just tell me
Jay: they've been released on bail
Thomas: No no no you're lying they they can't. They're gonna kill me I told on them. I told you what they did. How could you let this happen?
Jay: they lied their way out of it. You and Kiara might have to testify
Thomas: keep Kiara out of it. This has nothing to do with her. She's too young to be dealing with this. Do you think they're gonna come back?
Jay: I'm not sure but we've got things in place to protect you both
Thomas: what about kelly?
Jay: yes and kelly
I just zoned out until we got to school
Jay: I'll pick you up at 12:30 okay. I need you to stay in school until I ring and tell you I'm outside okay
Thomas: you think they're gonna come after me?
Jay: I'm not sure. It's just to be safe okay
I got out and walked into the building. I walked to miss Jackson's office and knocked on the door
Miss Jackson: come in
I walked in and shut the door
Miss Jackson: what's going on Thomas?
Thomas: nothing
Miss Jackson: its not nothing cause you never come and see me. Take a seat
I sat down opposite her
Miss Jackson: is there anything you want to talk about?
Thomas: mom and Michael got released on bail
Miss Jackson: how does that make you feel?
Thomas: scared and anxious. When Jay told me I wanted to cry. So many thoughts were going through my head and it was overwhelming
Miss Jackson: has anything been put in place to keep you safe?
Thomas: Jay picks me and Kiara up from school and take us to school
Miss Jackson: I think I should call kelly and Jay in to have a meeting
Thomas: kelly doesn't know that I know
Miss Jackson: we need to put plans in place to keep you safe at school as right now you are vulnerable and at risk
Thomas: okay
Miss Jackson: you feel up to going to lesson. It's art with mr Brown
Thomas: yeah that's fine
I went to art and just sat down. We were making models out of clay. 5 minutes before the end of lesson Miss Jackson walked in
Miss Jackson: Thomas can you come with me?
I got my things and left with her. We walked to mr Richards office and Jay and kelly were sat there
Kelly: I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I thought that I could protect you by not telling you
Thomas: it's fine
Mr Richards: we were wondering what we could put in place to make school safe for him?
Jay: well there's gonna be a few officers around the school just to keep an eye
Kelly: maybe if he can have a teacher stay with him at all times
Mr Richards: that could be arranged. Is there anything else?
Jay: I think this should be fine. Are we taking him home?
Mr Richards: what do you wanna do Thomas?
Thomas: I wanna go home. I'm not in the right mindset and I'm just gonna get into trouble
Mr Richards: that's okay. That's a really smart decision you've made. We'll send some work so you don't fall too behind
We left and Jay took me to the district
Hank: kiddo can I talk to you?
I went into his office and sat down on the couch
Hank: how you feeling?
Thomas: how do you think? Them lunatics are free and probably coming to kill me.
Hank: I promise we're gonna protect you
Thomas: don't make promises you know you can't keep. You can't guarantee that. They're gonna come back and there's nothing anyone can do about it
I got up and slammed the door behind me
Jay: Thomas
Thomas: fuck off Jay
I got to the front desk and I started feeling fuzzy
Trudy: you okay Thomas?
Thomas: f-fuzzy
Trudy helped be lay on the floor and called for Jay

Jay pov
Trudy: Halstead get down here now!
I ran down the stairs and Thomas was seizing on the floor.
Jay: how long?
Trudy: 2 minutes
After a few seconds the seizure stopped and he came around quite quickly
Thomas: J-Jay
Jay: hey kiddo
Thomas: g-go h-h-home
Jay: come on then. Sarge can you tell Voight I've had to take him home?
Trudy: yeah
We walked to the car and Thomas fell asleep in the back. I drive to Kelly's and then went home.

Thomas pov
I woke up and went downstairs and sat on the sofa with kelly and Shay.
Shay: how you feeling kiddo?
Thomas: I'm fine my head hurts a bit
Shay: that's normal
Kelly: what do you want for dinner?
Thomas: mac n cheese
Kelly: okay
Thomas: have you got things ready for Kees birthday?
Kelly: yep got her presents, shays grabbing her cake in the morning. I'm not sure we should be throwing a party not when they're out and about
Thomas: you can't cancel it. Please don't ruin this for her. She's so excited. She's never had a birthday party before. They've never even celebrated her birthday. I'm the only one that's given her a birthday card
Jay walked in with Kiara
Thomas: hey kee
Kiara: Tommy
She ran and gave me a hug
Thomas: it's your birthday tomorrow
Kiara: it doesn't matter
Kelly: kiara go wash your hands dinners ready
She went upstairs and back down. I was already eating when Kiara came down. I finished and went straight to bed
