Knowing that the statute was erected after Freddie passed, to me, when I think of Montreux, no matter what decade, I think of this.
"What else can you teach me Freddie?"
" I can teach you everything, but I think you have had enough for your first lesson. It's time to go to bed. We can resume tomorrow. We have the whole weekend ahead of us. Now, do you want to sleep with me upstairs in my room, or should I just stay here?"
"Uh, is that wise Freddie?" Carolyn asked.
"It is for me, I dread sleeping alone."
"Why is that?"
"I don't know darling, it probably has something to do from my childhood.."
"Stay with me, Freddie, I don't remember when I've cuddled with anybody in bed before sleeping" Carolyn said.
My word, her childhood was as bad as mine.
Freddie pulled back the duvet and slipped in beneath the blankets and opened his arms for Carolyn to join him. She cautiously joined him and snuggled against his chest as he wrapped his arms about her.
"Mmm" she uttered as she quickly drifted off to sleep, followed by Freddie who never fell asleep so fast.
The sun came up as did Freddie. Carolyn felt something poking into her back and reached around to grip it as she soon discovered what it was. Freddie's eyes flew open "Darling, what a wake up call"
Blushing, Carolyn apologized as she flew off the bed and ran into the bathroom..
She's absolutely adorable Freddie thought. This is going to be fun.
Hearing the water start, Freddie knocked on the door and asked to join her.
"Come on dear, no sense in wasting water in London. Two can shower as easily as one" Freddie said.
"No Freddie, go back to your room, shower and dress and I'll meet you in the kitchen" Carolyn yelled.
Imagine being locked out of rooms in your own home, I'll have to tell Phoebe to remove all the bathroom locks.
" Freddie? You still there? Will you ask Phoebe to make me a full English breakfast, I'm starved."
"Will do and hurry, I got a great idea of what to do today" Freddie said.
"Oooo more lessons?" Carolyn called excitedly.
"Get your mind out of the bedroom and hurry, I don't like to be kept waiting."
Upon hearing the door shut Caroline hurried out of the shower and was anxious to get dressed to see what surprise Freddie had instore for her.
After she left the bedroom she smelt something absolutely delicious coming from the kitchen. The house didn't usually smell from food unless Freddie was throwing a dinner party, but this was spectacular and set her stomach grumbling.
Freddie was already sitting at the table sipping his tea as she sat opposite him.
"What smells so delicious Phoebe?" Carolyn asked.
"You asked for a full English breakfast Princess, that's what you got" Phoebe replied.
