Basically, a continuation of the preceding chapter. I really didn't want to have you read an extra long chapter.
"Daddy's home" Freddie sang out.
Phoebe came out of the kitchen as Carolyn came from her room and Goliath, Tiffany, Miko and Romeo ran to Freddie showing affection as they rubbed against his legs, marking their territory by leaving their scent on him.
Freddie bent down to show each one some love and said "Daddy's home."
As he caressed each one, the foyer resounded with the cacophony of purrs and trills. They were as happy to see him as he was to see them . Their daddy.
"Well, your in good spirits boss."
"That I am Feeb, and open a bottle of Champagne, bring two glasses to the mistrel gallery."
"Carolyn, come with me, I have something to discuss with you" Freddie held out his hand and they climbed to the gallery, Freddie's hideaway to watch from above, his rollicking parties.
Freddie is in rare form today, I wonder what happened at the studio? He seems so happy and so unbelievably handsome. I know I'm struggling to find the right thoughts, but every time I think of him, my heart does a little flip flop. He's like a celestial being with his chiseled features that seems sculpted by the gods themselves and each time I look into his eyes, I see the burning embers of a fire, smoldering, it's almost as if he can look into my very soul and smile. I do love his smile. It's effortlessly charming, while being devilishly mischievous. Living without regrets and loving without limits. To me he's more than just a man he's an enigma, an intoxicating blend of danger and allure. (sigh) but when he turned to pour the champagne, I had the most erotic view of Freddie's impeccable derrière. It was the most perfectly well-defined butt I have ever seen . His tight white wranglers hugged every bit of him and sculpted two of the most perfect peaches packed inside of those jeans. Why am I thinking this way, why am I feeling all of this? It simply cannot be. Hmm, Freddie, I think I gave you my soul a while ago.
"Here dear, a little Moet. now sit, I want to tell you something" said Freddie. He handed me my flute and we both sipped for a bit. Then he lit a cigarette. How elegant he looked holding that ciggie between his fingers.
"Carolyn...Carolyn... you seemed lost in thought for a while. Are you okay?"
Oh Freddie if you only knew. I could just devour you. Where are all these thoughts coming from?
"I'm okay Freddie, just curious about what you want to discuss."
"I want you to know that I really listened to what you had to say this morning and I have an idea. How would you like to play your violin on stage with us at one of our gigs?"
What, play with them at one of their concerts. A dream come true, but I couldn't possibly.
"Wow, I don't know Freddie. Thousands of people there cheering you guys on. They don't want to hear me. They don't even know me. In your world I'm just a nobody, true, I'm a royal princess. But believe me, they wouldn't want to see me up there playing my violin."
" Now you believe me princess. it's.. It's a win win situation for all of us.. You get to play your dream and we get the notoriety of having a royal princess on stage with us. But the bottum line is that you really are a wonderful musician. Your mother would be so proud of you. Think of the publicity. Think of what your father would say.."
"My father...hm. Okay Mercury, you've got a deal."
"Mercury, huh?" The hilarity of it all.
Me calling him Mercury and his reaction to it, It was so farcical, that we just looked at each other and fell into a wellspring of laughter.
We laughed so loudly that the cats started to jump all over the place and when we finally settled down, so did the cats. They nestled between us and Freddie remarked "I've never seen the cats take to anybody as quickly as they did to you.
"Well I'm a very lovable person Freddie."
"That you are, my princess" and he took hold of my chin and lifted my face to his and kissed me on the forehead.
My princess?
"Uh, Freddie while you are being so magnanimous, I was wondering if you can do me another favor. You're so well connected, could you possibly arrange for me to sit in on a Parliment session?"
"Parliment, why on earth would you want to do that. Bor ring."
"I'll tell you why Freddie, if I am to be trotted out for my country to see me on specific occassions, I should bloody well know what's going on in my country and in the world. I have a voice Freddie, a voice, I am relevant, and I want to be heard and although my father refuses to recognize that, he is still from the middle ages, I represent a more modern world."
Wow, my princess certainly does have a voice. Look at her. standing up to me like that, with her fists clenched at her side. She's wonderful. She's.....she's, oh no.
" Freddie, you know everyone and everybody knows you. Can't you do this little thing for me? I would be so grateful."
"I'll call Miami and let him sort it out, but let's finish our Champagne before it turns warm." Freddie said as he refilled the flutes.
They sat there together, sipping the wine and looking at each other when Carolyn stood up and walked over to Freddie and touched his cheek and simply said, "Thank you Freddie" Freddie rose and stepped towards her and place both hands on her cheeks while drawing her body closer to his and as he leaned in....
"FREDDIE, CAROLYN, COME ON DOWN, DINNER IS READY AND ON THE TABLE." Phoebe cried up to them as he banged some pots with a spoon.
