It was a man riding the worm. He was steering it with hooks latched onto its shell. I couldn't see his features but he was obviously fremen.
I felt Feyd-Rauthas breath on my neck. It tickled a bit but felt nice. He whispered in my ear quietly.
"Just think, once spice production is under control it's all ours."
It felt strange to be close to him, but yet it didn't feel uncomfortable. I thought for a minute of backing up but something held me there.
I moved my head and looked at him. His eyes were a sort of blue hazel. They seemed like gates, closed until unlocked.
He leaned in close to my face. I felt my pale skin turning pick with fluster.
"It's a beautiful view."
He whispered looking at me.
"Very, beautiful."
My heart was racing, my body felt like all it wanted was to get closer to him. I must have been the brightest shade of pink to exist on this planet.
His face was soft now, happy. Our proximity made my body ease slightly. Everything that surrounded us disappeared, leaving only the beautiful dessert and our body's.
Reality returned sharply.
"The spice fields are just up ahead." The pilot said pointing in front of him.
Feyd-Rautha turned back to looking out the window. I did the same and went back to admiring the desert.
But my brain was still racing with ideas...
What just happened?
.
.
.
The Pilot had shown us all the north side of the planet. We were now flying back to the city.
"I forgot to ask Servant girl, what's your name again?"
It was Feyd-Rautha. He was looking at me again, His face amused.
I gave a smile and an eye roll.
"Nanali."
He smiled at me. His eyes lighting up almost like tiny sparks.
"So, can I just call you baldy?"
He started laughing, I scoffed.
"No!"
"Alright, alright. How about Aslae?"
I looked at him skeptical. "What does Aslae mean exactly?"
"Baldy in Fremen."
I rolled my eyes exasperated. He couldn't hold in his laughter. "You gotta admit that's funny!"
"It's not!" Your also bald!"
"I already told you We're not talking about that!"
The rest of the fly back was filled with laughter. After his insistence I should have a nickname, he decided on baldy. It was fun looking at the spice fields, but I couldn't help remembering him talking about the view. And how beautiful it was.
We arrived back in the palace and he walked off to his uncles throne room. I headed back to the servants quarters.
Only Ama was in the room. She looked up upon my entry. "How was it?" She asked curios.
"How was what?" I asked.
"Touring the spice fields Nanali!"
"Amazing, besides Feyd-Rautha." I lied.
I thought about him and smiled remembering what had passed between us...
