Hello all,
So, I'm actually so thoroughly put off by the amount of negative and, frankly, misogynistic comments about Satoru's ex-girlfriend Sakura on this fic.
It's disappointing. I'm disappointed.
I get everyone came here for a SatoSugu fic, I get that; it's why we wrote this— but there's no reason to put down a female character who just wants the guy she's been consistently seeing to treat her right.
Also, she's NOT Sakura from Naruto; that would be insane. This isn't a crossover fic. It's a collegeAU with no sorcery in it whatsoever.
Sakura, Shouta, Haru, Hana, and Sora are all Ocs that my friend and I invented to add normalcy to the plot.
I'm sorry Sakura isn't well written; that is my bad. A lot of this fic could use a rewrite and once over because I have written far better things than this since publishing this fic. I also no longer write in the first person; idk what I was on with that take.
But this is the first fic I tried writing after taking a huge break from writing fics, so I digress. Regardless, it is still no cause for all the vile shit some of you are spewing at a fictional made-up OC. The number of comments I've had to delete just in case they might upset other readers because of how FOUL they are is crazy. I shouldn't have to do that.
If I could turn comments off on Wattpad, I fucking would.
So I'm just putting this PSA out here and at the beginning of the fic so that you're all aware that if all of this continues— I will be taking this fic down and only making it available on my ao3 account, which it is already on, with the comments turned off. (ashes_to_ash on ao3 for those curious).
Anyway, I am truly so grateful for the immense amount of reads and love this fic has been getting over the last couple of years! It's been a pleasure to be a part of the SatoSugu shippers, but again, I'm just not for the hate and misogyny toward a simple female OC.
Hopefully, posting this at the beginning of the story rather than at the end will be effective, and I won't have to remove this story.
