Suguru

This platinum blonde, annoying as fuck man, has not stopped pestering me with questions since the second we stepped out of our dorm room.

His car windows were rolled all the way down. The wind was blowing the loose strands of my hair around my face, which I had tied back into a bun for work.

I turn to Satoru in annoyance,

"Think we could put the windows up?"

His devilish smirk makes my cheeks start to heat up but I move my face back towards the passing city outside the car.

"You're no fun, Geto. Live a little!" His tone was playful, almost too cheery for a soon to be full time college student.

Rolling my eyes I opt to just continue watching the buildings as we pass them. I gave him the address to my work when we first got into the car and then Gojo put it into his fancy navigation system and off we went.

It was generous of him to drive to me to work, but completely unnecessary.

"So you didn't answer my last question," he says to me over the slight roar of the wind and medium volume of the pop music coming from the speakers.

"Hm?" I hum back, feigning forgetfulness.

Gojo laughs, a real laugh, a sound I haven't had the pleasure of hearing yet,

"Why are you working at a Ramen shop? Aren't you about to be a full time student?"

His question was one I didn't feel entirely comfortable answering fully. So I deliberated quickly and responded with,

"I'm just working to save up so I won't have to be in the dorms next year."

It wasn't entirely a lie, but Satoru Gojo doesn't exactly need to know my whole backstory. It's not like we were friends anyways.

Turning my head to gauge his reaction, I see his sunglasses have slipped a bit again. And the striking blue that are his eyes makes my breath stop cold again like when he first opened them after his nap earlier.

I'd never seen such a vibrant blue hue before, let alone as someone's eye color. It made me feel slightly self conscious at the dark, boring black my own eyes were.

Not to mention Gojo's white hair was already super cool. I admired the look he had going for him, he was out there for sure. And confident, something I struggle with every day.

Gojo seems to think about my response a bit longer than needed, but it seems that whatever he came up with he decided to keep to himself.

The rest of the ride to my work was silent. I assume he must've gotten bored playing twenty questions with me. I'm not exactly interesting by any means.

My phone buzzes in my pants and I pull it out, my eyes widen at the name on the screen.

A text message from my ex.

Great.

I know you start classes at university in a few days. Hope everything goes well. I'll be around campus if you need anything.

The message was nice enough, but completely out of left field.

I haven't talked to Haru in months. And he knows I'd prefer to keep the line of communication closed, barring any emergencies.

Sighing heavily to myself, I close the messaging app and shove my phone back into my pocket.

"Everything alright?" Gojo asks, he must've sensed the irritation I'm feeling.
