Temperatures Rising: Chapter 42. (P2).

Ngl to yall, I debated on releasing this. I don't know how my mind went here but I started writing and just couldn't stop. Maybe because I was lowkey in my feelings and I've  always been team Big.

Big Citi.

Once Big's intense affection for Heaven appeared to be common knowledge, those around him labeled him tenderhearted. People often associate various qualities with weakness, such as gentleness, kindness, and compassion. Lack of assertiveness and aggression and displaying emotions or sentimentality are also perceived as signs of vulnerability. These were the traits Big discovered within himself since falling for Heaven. Despite the discomfort he felt at being so exposed, he resented the notion that he was soft or weak. He remained the man everyone respected, envied, or despised.

"You care to share what's happening between you and that Anthony, nigga? It seems like you might be developing feelings for him," he asked, eyeing Lola.

She glanced at him while getting dressed. "Maybe a little. Anthony is a good man. I've never experienced the kind of treatment he gives me. I want this to succeed." He chuckled, shaking his head. "So, let me guess, you're seeking my permission to end things between us?" She traced her hand up and down her leg, nodding. For a while now, she had fallen deeply for Anthony, forming a profound emotional and physical connection with Big, but her true feelings were anchored in Anthony's respectful treatment. Big satisfied her in every way, yet Anthony treated her with the regard she felt she deserved. To Big, she seemed more like a possession than a woman. "I told you, I don't care about your choices. That's your business. But you still come when I ask and need you. You signed a contract. Marry him if you want, but when I say jump, you say how high."
