The TARDIS lands in some kind of warehouse "all of time and space you promised me and where do we end up? A bloody warehouse" Liv rhetors as we look around "well it wasn't me that brought us here" "what do you mean?" "Some kind of signal bringing the TARDIS off-course.." "Right well, let's have a look" I smile as we begin to look around..
After some searching we find a huge door, the words 'METALTRON CAGE' on the front in big letters "what's in there I wonder.." I just say as Liv presses a button "you take a look, I'll stay on the radio" "gotcha" I smile and walk inside as the door closes by itself behind me. The room is dark as can be bar from a single blue light, I scan with the sonic "the signal that brought the TARDIS here is in this room... Ahem, I'm the Doctor I'm here to help" "Doc.. Tor.." "Impossible..." "THE DOCTOR!" The lights come on, to reveal the thing I prayed never to see again, a Dalek, bound by chains.. "Liv let me out!" I scream as I bang on the door "I can't it's locked!" She exclaims back over the radio "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" It proclaims but.. Nothing happens, the gun doesn't work, upon realising it I begin to laugh "if you can't kill then what are you good for Dalek? What's the point of you?! You're nothing!" "KEEP BACK!" What for? What are you gonna do to me?" I then sigh and ask it "how did you get here?" "I.. fell through time.." "The only survivor of the Time War.." "I AM WAITING FOR ORDERS!" "They're never gonna come! Your race is dead! Ten thousand ships, the entire Dalek fleet wiped out in one second!" "YOU LIE!" "I watched it happen, I made it happen!" "I SURVIVED!" "So did I.." "I am alone in the universe.. So are you.." "Yep" "we are the same.." "We are not the same! I'm not- no, wait- maybe we are, but either way I'm done chatting, laters" I smile and unlock the door with the sonic..
Liv hugs me before I ask her "don't suppose you'd fancy having a chat with it?" "Um, why would I?" "It doesn't know you, it might not be so.. Hostile, towards you" "ok well, you best stay on that radio" "got it boss" I smirk before she walks in too..
Before I know it the Dalek manipulated her into touching it, the artron energy restoring it "Liv get out of there!" Her eyes fill with fear as the Dalek restores "SYSTEM RESTORATION INITIATING!" She wastes no time in unlocking the door and getting out "how long will the door hold it?" "Not long, we need to move!" I grab her hand and we leg it through the endless corridors before finding another locked door "just need to get it unlocked.." I begin to tinker with the sonic as Liv says "I'm sorry Doctor" "it's alright, the Daleks are clever I should've warned you" we then hear it, the whirring.. "EXTERMINATE!" It proclaims before shooting the panel on the wall, to our surprise the door opens "thanks for that!" We continue to leg it, eventually finding ourselves in a room full of alien tech "aha result!" "Hang on, why did it miss?" "It's still calibrating I'd say, either that or it has Stormtrooper aim" Liv snickers before I find an Etrobine gun "perfect" suddenly we hear a helicopter outside "come on!" "Where?" "The roof!" We rush to the helipad..
"Bad Wolf 1 descending, I repeat- Bad Wolf 1 descending" someone from inside the helicopter calls out "Bad Wolf.." I mutter to myself as it lands, a single man steps out "what the hell are you doing?!" He exclaims "what'd you mean?" "Who are you and WHAT are you doing in my facility?!" "I'm the Doctor, this is Liv, and YOU, whoever you are, have a Dalek rocking about in your basement" "a what?" "A Dalek!" "Whatever, Jenkins cuff them" "oh for gods sa-" We're then in his office, handcuffed, the Etrobine gun having been seized and now leaning against the wall. "Ok, I might as well ask this, who are you?" "Henry Van Statten, billionaire" "delightful, now.. If you would release us and let us be on our way that would be fantastic" "how can I trust you?" "Judging by the stuff here you're a collector of all things alien, find me something and I'll be happy to tell you what it is" he gives a confused look before nodding to an army bloke who uncuffs us. He then hands me something "this, is a chamorecorder from Messaleen B" I smile and begin to stroke it, the sounds create a beautiful melody "it's a musical instrument.." "Yep, and it's a long way from home" "so, you're an alien too?" "At last he's clever! Though don't think you can just lock me up too" "alright, so this Dalek, what is it?" "It's an alien death machine, created by a genius you'd like him, it won't stop until it's destroyed everything that isn't like it, it's the ultimate in racial cleansing.." "Alright, and I take it you're the only one that can stop it?" "Yes.." "Fine, just don't kill it, that thing is worth three billion dollars" I shake my head and punch him, it hurts I will admit but it was worth it. He holds his cheek in pain but signals for his troops to stand down "is money all you care about?!" "What else is there?!" "What's the nearest populated area?" "Salt late City" "population?" "One million" "all of those people will die if you don't let me kill it! Don't think it'll stop there either! It'll keep killing and killing and killing until it's the ONLY thing left on the planet!" "Fine, do what you must.."
Me and Liv march back down to the lower levels as she asks me "is it the only one left then? In the universe I mean" "I hope so, but let's be real, they always survive!" We soon find it, "EXTERMINATE!" It blasts a laser that hits the wall, I sigh and calibrate the gun "exterminate.." I fire. The blast hits the Dalek and it screams in pain, but it soon stops. Me and Liv look at the remains through the smoke, I just drop the gun and walk off..
We're then back at the TARDIS as Liv asks "is that it then? The end of the Time War?" "I don't know.." "Well, the Dalek survived, maybe some of your people did too" "maybe.." The TARDIS vanishes away..
NEXT TIME: Taking a big space truck with a bunch of strangers across a diamond planet called Midnight? What could possibly go wrong?
