Day after day, Maria could feel herself becoming more numb and immune to pain.

As she walked around the house, she'd see Kk and feel absolutely nothing.

No hatred, no pain, no anger, nothing.

Maria and Temetrius did more therapy sessions together to figure out what the roots of their relationship problems were.

Maria felt like they had no issues anymore.

Technically speaking, they didn't.

"You think we have no issues because you have no feelings. That's the real issue."

Temetrius sat on the therapy couch with his arms folded to his chest.

Williams stared at Temetrius in confusion.

"Elaborate." she says.

Temetrius leaned forward in his seat, using his legs as arm rests.

"Ever since I told her the truth about me and Kk, she's been acting different."

Williams curiosity grew "Different how?" she asked.

"Emotionless. It's like nothing affects her anymore." Temetrius says.

Maria says, "It doesn't." with a slight shrug.

Williams looked at her confusingly "Why's that, might I ask?" she prepared her hand to began writing.

Maria took a breath in before she spoke.

She really didn't care to be there and she really didn't care to talk about the situation.

"If the only emotion I feel is hurt, why should I feel at all?" she said absently.

Williams wrote down something in her notes.

She typed something in her computer before going back to her notes.

"This sounds like what would be called anhedonia, or emotional blunting." Williams says.

Temetrius eyebrows furrowed.

She figured he had no clue of what she meant and explained it.

"It's when an individual feels a sense of numbness or lack emotional feelings."

Temetrius nodded as Williams explained.

"You see, the dreams you've been having seems to be the cause of this or could be one of many reasons why it's affecting you."

This was a lot for Temetrius to take in.

Maria's dreams were traumatizing.

Add that trauma to the new trauma she'd just found out, Temetrius wouldn't want to feel anything either.

"Ok so how the we fix it?" Temetrius asked.

He was willing to try anything.

Williams looked through her folder to find a specific piece of paper.

"I can recommend you to a mental health professional or try these home remedies." she handed Temetrius the paper.

He read it.

Williams further explained saying that, whenever Maria felt 'numb' she should safely stimulate her senses.

"This could simply be done by cuddling or even taking a hot bath. Anything that triggers emotions." she says.

Temetrius was getting a better understanding, Maria wasn't too much listening.

"What if that doesn't work?" Temetrius asked.
