The next morning, Maria hadn't left yet and was laying down on Temetrius's couch.
There was still enough time for him to convince her to stay.
When he arrived downstairs, Maria was already awake.
The closer he moved in on her, the more he could hear her whispering to herself.
At first, Temetrius couldn't make out what was being said.
He stood behind her listening to her rant about how she didn't want to be there anymore.
It was starting to scare him.
Not wanting to startle her, he took a seat on the couch next to where she was.
"Maria." he snapped to get her out of her own thoughts.
"You still fucked up about last night?" he asked.
Maria shook head no.
Pushing her head into his shoulder, Temetrius gave her a light kiss.
"I know how shit may seem right now, but it ain't gone always be like this." he said.
Maria didn't say anything for a few seconds which left Temetrius wondering.
"You right, it ain't gone always be like this because I'm done jeopardizing my mental health for you." she sat up.
Wiping the tears, she scooted to the next cushion on the couch.
"Over a mistake, Ria?" Temetrius stood up defensively "Kk can come down here right now to tell you I don't want her."
Maria shook her head "Nope. Not risking it." she spoke.
Temetrius tried to plead the case that Kk wouldn't be staying there for much longer, but Maria overruled it.
"And if I stay with you, I'd have to move there. Either way it's a lose, lose for me ." she shrugged.
"You're literally willing to move states to be closer to her. You don't see the problem?" her voice rose.
"We have a daughter." Temetrius face palmed himself.
Maria shrugged, "I know that ain't the reason you want to move. I'm mental not dumb." she tapped her head.
Although this was a serious situation Temetrius couldn't help but laugh.
"You wanna be hurt so bad. Did you ever stop to think maybe I do love you?" he questioned.
"Not like you love Kk." Maria sighed.
Temetrius smacked his lips together.
"Stop all that victim playing shit." he pointed in her face
"Yea I fucked up, but I wanna be with you. You forcing me into Kk's arms ain't no help."
Maria sat there, staring blankly at the table in front of her.
Temetrius figured she couldn't leave without her things.
He grabbed one of her bags that was packed and took it back to their bedroom.
Once Temetrius was out of the room, Maria thoughts began to wonder.
What if he actually did love her but had a fucked up way of showing it?
Minutes after Temetrius went up, Kk came downstairs to talk to Maria.
The whole thing felt set up and planned but still, she listened.
Kk sat on the couch in the same spot Temetrius had sat in before her.
"What?" Maria turned her head to her.
