Chapter VI - Meeting Heaven

(Your P.O.V)

After ending the call with Lucifer, I had to mentally prepare myself for the eventual meeting with Adam. It's been two centuries since we last saw one another, and yet at the same time, I am still angry at the man, he had me cast out of my home for a pathetic reason. Made me lose things that I loved, lose people that I trusted. "Luci, you better make sure you own up to your end." I texted him and he simply sent a thumbs-up emoji. I smiled fondly and put my phone away, I swear that angel is amazing at times. I could hear Charlie singing on the other side of the hotel. "There she goes, better follow her." I said and gently summoned my wings and began flying after her from a far distance, I didn't want Sinners to think I was an Exorcist. 

Amadaeous was at my side and I knew I might need it soon. I saw Charlie at the Heaven Embassy and I flew down gently. "Charlie." I called out to her and she looked at me, she was shocked to see me. "Dali, what're you doing here?" She asked me and I chuckled and booped her lamb nose. "You think your father would let you meet the leader of Heaven's Armies by yourself? Believe me, even if he didn't mention this meeting, I was coming with you." I told her and we walked in before anything else was said. "Hello..." Charlie called out and we walked into an empty building, nothing new. Who in their right mind would walk into this building by themselves, of course, but we have reasons. A piece of paper and two feather quills appeared and I read the paper quickly and signed it. "Creepy." Charlie said and I nodded, the doors revealed themselves to us. I turned over to the blonde demoness and held her shoulders, forcing her to look at me. "Dali?" Charlie asked and I took a deep breath. "Sweetie, I need you to remember this, do not let them get under your skin." I told her and while she looked confused, she nodded. "I won't, or at least try not to." She promised and I smiled and kissed her forehead. 

We both walked into the room and it was dark for a moment before revealing two beings I hoped never to see again. "I was right." I muttered and pretended to smile. "Hello." Charlie greeted and we simply got a hi in return. "I'm Charlie. My dad asked me if I could meet you." Charlie said and I saw Adam roll his eyes. "Yeah, I know." He simply said, his ego easily oozing out at the seams. "It's nice to meet you." Charlie said as she held out her hand and I didn't stop her, I knew what was happening next, honestly, I was just done with that privileged asshole. He held out his hand, and Charlie's phased through his hand, scaring her and causing Adam to laugh. 

There we spent the better of FIVE HOURS... FIVE FUCKING HOURS trying to get Adam to tell us what he wanted. Charlie did understand why her Dad asked her to do this meeting, meanwhile, I am about ready to blow up this entire fucking building and watch it burn to the ground. Finally, Adam decided to stop acting like his shit doesn't smell and begin with the actual reason to start this damn meeting. So what does Charlie do in response, breaks into song, and begin singing about her plans for the hotel. Adam and his lieutenant began to laugh at us and began mocking Charlie. Adam also began breaking into song, and his cocky-ass attitude was grating at my patience, so much so that I began showing my demon form. 

"Long as I've got your attention."

"I guess I should probably mention."

"That we made the determination."

"To move up the next Extermination!"

That made my face pale at those words, what did he mean by moving up the Extermination? What is he planning? What happened during this recent Extermination?

"Can't wait a whole year."

"To slaughter those little cunts."

"I know it's just been a week."

"But we'll be back in six months!"

Charlie and I tried to stay within the meeting room but we were kicked out, unable to get back in. "Shit!" Charlie exclaimed and I went over to her and held her in my arms. "Calm down, getting pissed at Adam isn't going to change this." I told her, trying to reassure her but also telling myself the same thing. "C'mon, let's blow this popsicle stand." I told her and after she gathered her papers, I called the limo. "I'll drop you off at the hotel, I have to tell your father what the meeting told us." I said and Charlie nodded, her eyes looking out the window to the outside. I pulled her into my arms yet again and began running my purple fingertips through her hair. "I should've just done what Dad asked of me, not try and get Heaven to listen about the hotel." She muttered but I shushed her and kissed the top of her head. "Charlie, you were trying to help Hell and used that meeting to your advantage. Even if it didn't work in your favor, besides, Adam is a douche who wants to suck his own cock 'cause he was in his words 'the original dick'." I told her and she laughed and snuggled into my side. "You're right, but still. Why would Heaven move the Extermination up?" Charlie wondered and I thought the same thing.
