(Your P.O.V)

I left the garden and began heading back to the hotel, my face still burning red. A smile never left my face as I remembered how intimate the moment we had with one another. "Shit... what am I going to do?" I asked myself, it wasn't meant to go that far past the point of friendship. I can't do that to Charlie, she doesn't deserve to know that her parents' marriage ended because of my actions. And Luci... he doesn't deserve to lose his daughter because he chose me over his wife. I lost the smile and began to frown, my heart was beating fast and erratic, I felt my dress getting wet and I knew I was crying.

When I got to the hotel, I didn't see Charlie or Vaggie. "Didn't ya hear?" Angel asked me, I looked at him and his grin disappeared. "What happened to ya Toots?" Angel asked and I laughed, Husk looked at me sighed, and brought out a bottle of cognac. "Thanks Husky, I'm taking this to my room." I told him and he knew it was bad. "Be careful, I remember the last time you drank too much." Husk warned me and I nodded. "Angel, if you want to listen, follow me." I said and he did as told, we went to my room, and I placed my sword where it belonged. "Wow, nice room. Now, tell me what happened." He said and I first poured a glass of cognac and downed in one gulp before pouring another to slowly drink. "It's... a complicated thing. But what I am going to tell you, do not tell another soul, especially Charlie or Vaggie." I told him and he looked hesitant but nodded.

I took a deep breath. "I first arrived in Hell a little over 200 years ago, long before you were even a thought. It was also 200 years ago did I first met him." I said and his eyes widened as I poured him a drink. "He was the brightest star in this dark nightmare, I believe I first felt something for him about a century after meeting him." I explained and he kept quiet, his eyes were filled with a soft look I didn't want to get into yet. I finished the cognac in my glass before pouring another, not caring if I lost control of my powers tonight. "It was a masquerade ball, he was still easily identifiable. Everyone could tell it was him, his cheeks were still showing through his white ivory mask. When it was time to dance, he and I were the first to dance." I reminisced, my smile was back. "I could smell his apple cologne as I danced with him, his fingers on my waist so delicately as to not make things awkward. Then when he dipped me, he looked at me like I was the only one in the room who mattered the most." I said and Angel held my hand, taking the cognac away from me.

I shuttered a breath. "Our noses were almost touching, if it weren't for the fact that we were in a ballroom, I think I would've kissed him right then and there." I told him and his eyes nearly bulged out of his face, but he didn't ask any questions, letting me speak. "After that night, we never discussed what had occurred. He was married after all, and I didn't want to ruin his marriage. I never crossed that line, nor did he..." I finished and that's when Angel spoke. "Until now?" He asked and I nodded. "Yeah, he laid in my lap as we looked at the stars. He told me indirectly that he cared about me, and kissed my knuckle. What else am I supposed to do?" I said and he deeply inhaled. "That's complicated indeed. Whose the guy anyway?" He asked and I stopped and wondered how much could I truly trust him. "Can you swear to me that you will not tell anyone else?" I asked him and he nodded, did the cross and everything, pretty ironic given where we are.

"His name is Lucifer." I said and Angel stood up in a panic. "What?!" He screeched but I didn't stop him, the walls are protected with magic to make sure unwanted listeners can't hear a thing. "Lucifer, as in the King of all of fucking Hell? Charlie's Dad, Lucifer?" He asked me and I laughed at his reaction, but I agreed, nonetheless. "He's also my boss, so that makes things even worse." I said and he was just quiet. "Shit, and I thought I had it rough." He joked and I hummed, he noticed I wasn't smiling, and he held my hand, making me look at him. "Look, I get that you don't want to ruin Charlie's family. Believe me, it ain't pretty to see a fractured family, but you have to decide if being in love with someone unavailable is worth it." He said and I nodded.

I stared at my ceiling in sadness. "I never felt love until I met him, and I don't want to lose that feeling." I confessed and suddenly, I felt my head falling to a fluffy chest. I looked up and saw Angel having this soft look. "Calm down, you are loveable Toots. Youse gotta put yourself out there, experience the world." Angel said and I broke down, letting the reality of the situation come at me all at once. Angel held me the whole time, letting me pour my heart out. He softly sang Italian lullabies and it helped soothe me.

I eventually started to yawn and he chuckled. "Alright, let's get you to bed." He said and I nodded, he began to leave but I stopped him. "Thank you, for helping me." I said and he smiled. "You kiddin', no way was I going to not help you. I can tell a broken heart from a quarter mile away, plus you are fucking cool to be around." Angel said and I laughed. "Thanks." I said and he left, not before hugging me one last time. "You're welcome." He chuckled and after that we parted ways and he left the room.

I am glad that Angel Dust was able to help me understand what I was feeling. "It is best to never say anything or make it obvious. It's for the best, for all of us." I said and as I changed into my pajamas, I saw the cognac and shrugged my shoulders. "Fuck it." I said and after changing my clothes, I downed the rest of the bottle. "I'll suffer tomorrow." I told myself and went to sleep, the empty bottle laying on the floor.

Authors opinion: Hey everyone and here is this chapter. It is about the ending events of the last chapter. I wanted Adalia to start understanding what happened in the last chapter, and even mentioning events that happened in the past that have also affected how things are now. I wanted Angel to be a part of this, I felt as though those two would get along well, having almost a mother-son bond that will be fun to have within this book. Anyway, until the next time bye
