Chapter 34

Stealing Fire

Vivian, Harper, and Miller were in Miller's room. They were just sitting there trying to think of a way to get Kane out. Then there was a knock on the door. The three looked at each other, so Miller walked over to the door and opened it.

When he opened the door, Bellamy stood there.

"What do you want?" Miller asked, Bellamy gestured his head to the side, telling him to step aside so Miller did.
Bellamy walked in with Monty right behind him. Vivian looked at the two, not sure what they were up to. "What do you -" Miller went to ask again, but Bellamy curbed him off.

"Shh." Bellamy said and pulled out his knife, causing Miller and Harper to go for his gun. Vivian didn't have a gun, but she did have a knife.

"Whoa, whoa. Hey." Miller said.

"It's okay." Bellamy said and started to cut into Miller's jacket. Vivian watched closely as he pulled out a microphone, then he handed it over to Monty, who put it I'm a bag.

"The bag blocks the signal. Now we can talk." Monty explained.

"Talk about what exactly?" Vivian asked, crossing her arms.

"Who put it there?" Miller asked, referring to the bug that was in his jacket.

"That's not important right now. Pike just sentenced Lincoln and Sinclair to death alongside Kane." Bellamy explained. Vivian bit her lip, and she hated the fact that people were going to die for trying to do the right thing.

"Hmm. Are you trying to scare us?" Harper asked not in the mood for them.

"No. We're here to help. I'm sure you have a plan to break them out. What can we do?" Monty asked, but they didn't budge or break character.

"What are you talking about?" Harper asked, acting like she didn't know what was going on.

"Harper, come on." Monty said.

"Sorry, we don't know what you're talking about." Vivian said.

"Look. We can help from the inside. To pull this off, we need people to hand them off to on the outside." Bellamy said, looking over at Vivian. She wanted to trust him.

"We seriously don't know what you're talking about." Miller said.

"You know what? Forget it. If my sister wants to save Lincolns life, you tell her to meet me at the dropship in an hour." Bellamy said and walked out.

"Bellamy!" Monty called after him, but it was too late, so he turned to look at the three. "After everything we've been through, you don't trust me?" He asked.

"Does your mom know you're here, Monty?" Harper asked, then Monty left, leaving the trio.

"I trust them." Vivian said, causing the two to look at her.

"What?" Miller asked.

"Look, when I got arrested, Bellamy lied to Pike and told him the earpiece was his. I know you're going to say it's because I'm his wife and he loves me, but I don't know, you guys didn't see the look on his face." Vivian explained, causing Miller and Harper to look at each other. Miller let out a sigh and looked over at Vivian.

"I trust you Will, so if you say we can trust them, then we can." Miller said, causing Vivian to smile a little.

"Thank you, now who's radioing Octavia?" Vivian asked.

They came up with a plan to get Kane and the others out. Right now, Vivian was waiting on Octavia. She heard two knocks on the signaling that it was Octavia, so she opened it up.
