Chapter 17

Rubicon

What's left of the hundred have been locked up in the dorm for hours and every few hours Tsing would come take one of them.

"We've been locked up for hours. If it was Bellamy -" Miller was saying, but Jasper cut him off.

"It was Bellamy. I'm telling you, he's here." Jasper said.

"He's right. So that means they have a plan to get us out." Vivian replied.

"Alright." Miller said.

"It doesn't make any sense." Monty pointed out.

"We know what we saw." Jasper said, and before Vivian could say anything, a buzzing sound went off.

"Here we go again." Vivian mumbled as they all scurried to the back of the room.

"Not again." Fox said, and Vivian grabbed her hand as Tsing and some guards walked in.

"Back up, everyone. Back up. Move! Off to the sides! Get back." The guards ordered pointing their guns at them. Then they grabbed Harper, and Vivian started to fight them off.

"Leave her alone!" Vivian yelled as Harper cried.

"No. No!" Harper cried, not wanting to go back.

"Hey. Hey! Get off her!" Monty demanded, trying to help Vivian fight off the guards.

"No, not her, and not her either. They need more time to recover." Tsing said, looking at Vivian and Harper. Tsing looked around the room for a second till her eyes landed on some guy. "This one." She added, and the guards grabbed him.

"No!" Vivian yelled, but they were already dragging him off.

"Stop! You can't keep doing this to us." Jasper announced as Tsing turned to look at him. "President Wallace said we could go." Tsing walked closer to them.

"That President Wallace is no longer in command. He had to step down for health reasons. I'm sorry it has to be like this. I hope you know you're all incredibly special to us." Tsing said, but Vivian had enough and lunged at her. She got one good punch in till a guard used the butt of his gun and hit her in the gut.

"Will." Miller said as she fell to the ground with a groan.

"I'm fine." Vivian replied as he helped her up.

"Careful Vivian, wouldn't want them to think you're having another psychotic break." Tsing said, causing Vivian to glare at her.

"Screw you, bitch. How about next time you come in here alone without your little back up, so I can show you what a real psycho can do." Vivian gave her the fakes smile she could manage causing Tsing to turn and walk away.

"Clear out. Go." A guard demanded and they all followed Tsing out.

"What were you thinking?" Monty asked and Vivian looked over at him.

"I was thinking, that the bitch needs to be put in her place." Vivian replied and limped over to the bed to sit down.

"They could have shot you." Fox said causing Vivian to shake her head.

"No they wouldn't have. They need us." Vivian said looking over at her. Vivian looked at around at all the scared delinquents not knowing what to do. Miller could see the distraught look on her face and walked over to her.

"Penny for your thoughts." Miller said causing Vivian to look at him.

"What's a penny?" She asked causing Miller to let out a small laugh.

"I don't know. But I heard it in a movie once." He clarified.

"Ah." Vivian nodded her head with a small smile.
