In the jungle from the past, Boney 10 leads the viewers and readers to a certain spot where a full grown elephant named Isabelle (voiced by Ellen-Ray Hennessy), was watching over her little baby son, which she named Babar. Boney 10: "There he is folks... little baby Babar... the little elephant who is destine for greatness... one that would bring a new age for the elephants... but for now... he's a little elephant who has a lot to learn." said Boney 10, as he continues to watch little Babar being rocked back and forth on his mother's trunk. Isabelle: "Oh my sweet little Babar... you're destine for great things..." said Isabelle, watching over her little baby. Some time later, Babar (voiced by young Kristine Fairlie), who got a little older, was at the lake with his mother, learning how to swim and use his trunk for breathing while swimming and shooting water to wash himself. Babar: "Mama, look!, I can swim!" Isabelle: "I can see that, well done." said Isabelle, before Babar accidentally swam right into a mud hole and gets himself covered in mud. While trying to get the mud off, he bumps into another little elephant that was in the mud, and her name was Celeste (voiced by young Jennifer Martini), and Babar couldn't help but feel his heart racing a little from the sight of her. Celeste: "Hello, I'm Celeste, what's your name?" Babar: "Um... Babar..." said the young male elephant, before another elephant, named Arthur (voiced by young Kyle Fairlie) who happens to be Celeste's little brother, came by and jumped into the mud. Celeste: "That's Arthur... my brother..." Arthur: "Hi." Babar: "Hello Arthur, and hello to you too Celeste." said Babar, before the parents of the young elephants came to the scene and used their trunks to spray water and on the young elephants to wash off the mud. Boney 10: "As you can see, life was good for Babar, he managed to make some friends, play with them a lot, play games, and have many good meals too... [watching Babar playing tag, hide and seek or catching a coconut in the style of football] sadly though... it was not to last... as to what I mean... well it started on a day that seemed like any other... only to become the saddest day of little Babar's life..." said Boney 10, before the scene changed to show a different part of the jungle, where Babar was riding on his mother's back, and Isabelle was watching over the area. Suddenly, she heard something that sounded like foot steps, and something clicking, causing her to stop. Babar: "Mama?, what's wrong?" asked Babar, before a loud bang sound was heard, and Isabelle fell over to the ground, causing Babar to fall and rolled onto the ground, while a lot of birds flew out of the trees in fright. Babar: "Mama... what was that?... mama?" asked Babar, before he turns around to see his mother laying on the ground, showing no signs of movement or even breathing. Babar: "Mama... why are you sleeping?, get up mama... mama?... Mama!" suddenly, he heard someone coming, and turns around to see a human hunter approaching, carrying a gun, making him realize that he was some type of predator that just killed his mother somehow, scaring out of his wits. Babar: "No!" shouted Babar, as he was running away in fear, trying to escape from the hunter. Boney 10: "Yes... in an instant... Babar's happy life was shattered... and was forced to run away from home to escape the hunter, he was alone, and had nobody around to help him..." said Boney 10, as Babar ran so far that he left the jungle and out of Africa itself.
