Chapter 11

(Sofia POV)

I needed him to say it again, I needed to know that it wasn't in my head and that it was real, "You what?" "Sofia, I love you and I am selfish and need you outside of here so please come with us." I smiled up at him, "I love you too." I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down into a hug. We stayed like this for a moment and then I looked over at James who looked anxious and a little uncomfortable. "What about Amber?" I said looking at both of them, "I can't be the reason she dies. Enchancia needs its real princess." "Sofia, we can keep Amber safe and if we are back home, we can better protect you both. Also Enchanica has two real princesses and needs them both to come back" James said coming down to both of us. "James, you know..." Hugo then turned towards me, "Sofia, you are a real princess and we are two real princes and there is a real crazy psycho is going to force you to marry him tomorrow if we don't get you out of here. It takes a long time to get out of here and we need to start moving." I nodded knowing that he was right.

I then saw that they had my Protector's bag, "You guys took my bag?" I asked. "We needed the equipment to find you and to get in here," James said. I took my bag and nodded, "I will be taking this back now and neither of you will ever touch it again." We made our ways to the door and it opened. My heart was racing faster as we got to the second door and it opened. He wasn't there and I released a sigh of relief. I looked around and saw that he was nowhere nearby. I took out my Which Way Bow and said, "Enchancia Palace." The arrow began to spin around and go forward. I looked at the two boys, "Get on if we are going to get out of here quick." I then looked down at my amulet, "I wish I was a Flying Horse." I felt myself transform into a flying horse and began flying down the hallways as quickly as possible following the arrow to our freedom.

(James POV)

I wished I was more surprised that she had the ability to turn into animals but at this point it kind of made sense. She was flying down the hallways as Hugo and I rode on her back. She was quickly following the arrow and what had taken us days to travel she traveled in a matter of minutes. We made our way to the entrance of the building. A single hole in the ceiling. Hugo and I went out as Sofia flew us close to it and then she transformed back into herself. We reached our arms down to her and we pulled her through. We scaled the side of the building as quickly as possible climbing down and running down the path of the cave. We looked up and saw the water, "Guys how do we get out of here now." Sofia looked down at her amulet and in her bag. "I wish I was a fairy." She grew wings and then she grabbed our arms, "Do you trust me?" She asked. We both gave a nod and she flew up and brought us to the water. I began swimming up and turned back to see Sofia had lost her wings and now had grown a tail and was a mermaid. We were going to need to talk about all her powers later. We reached the surface of the water "Sofia we need to get to the rope up there, there is a small hole that leads out of here but we can't all fit at once." She nodded and Sofia turned into a fairy again brining us to the rope that had been left and we climbed out of there one at a time. I was the first one she had flown up and I looked down as she flew Hugo up as well. As they reached the rope Hugo began speaking, "Sofia climb ahead of me. If anything is coming after us you need to get out of here." Sofia wanted to argue but I quickly stepped in, "Sofia we don't have time to argue."

(Sofia POV)

I had used my amulet's powers for the first time in a while because I was now out of the room. We were now climbing out through a small hole and had to go through one at a time. James was climbing up first, I was in the middle and Hugo was climbing up last. I climbed through the hold and saw the sunshine. I took a step away from the hole and closed my eyes taking it in, the warmth, the light everything that I had missed. I turned and saw Hugo and James standing there. I waited for them to get there bearings away from the hole and ran up to them wrapping my arms around them, "Thank you" I said tearing up as they held me. We released one another and a wave of exhaustion hit me.

I took a few shaky steps. Hugo came up to me, "Sofia are you ok?" I gave him a small nod, "Just tired the amulet takes a lot out of me." I swayed from side to side blinking my eyes awake.

(Hugo POV)

I saw how tired Sofia was and I stayed close by, before I knew it she fainted into my arms. I looked down at her and despite my worry I couldn't help but smile. I carried her bridal style over to one of the flying horses and turned to James. "Let's take her home. We are still not out of the woods yet." We began flying home and I held Sofia the entire way. I needed to ask her soon but, first I needed her to be safe. We landed at the gates of the palace, "Are you ready to tell them?" I asked James. He shook his head, "No, but I have to be. You take care of Sofia I will talk to them." I nodded and began walking her inside to her room. I pulled a chair next to her. I wasn't going to move until she woke up.

(Prince Cole POV)

It was time for dinner and I went to go collect my dear Alice but, when I saw the door open panic overtook me. I rushed into the room and she was gone. She had run away again but, I would not lose her a second time. I turned toward a guard who walked with me when I walked Sofia, "Prepare the troops, tomorrow we take back my bride."
