As my car pulled up to the charming house with a neatly manicured garden, butterflies fluttered in my stomach. Today was the day I would meet Aera's family for the first time.

As Aera straightened my collar, she smiled at me.

"Hey, relax, my parents doesn't bite,"she said, and gave my cheek a gentle pat.

I took a deep breath, and rang the doorbell.

The door swung open, and there stood Aera's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee with warm smiles on their faces. Aera's four older brothers stood behind them, giving me a stern look.

They welcomed us inside, offering me a seat in the cozy living room. Nervously, I tried to make small talk, but my words stumbled in my excitement.

Aera's parents, sensing my nervousness, put me at ease with their friendly demeanor.

Mrs. Lee offered me a cup of tea, while Mr. Lee asked about my interests and aspirations.

"So, Jimin, I learned that you are a dance instructor?" Mr. Lee asked.

I swallowed the lump in my throat before responding to his question. "Yes, Sir. I owned the dance studio right across Aera's restaurant."

"Really?" Mrs. Lee's face light up when she heard my answer. "I always wanted to enroll in that studio."

"Oh come on, mom!" Aera's brothers exclaimed.

"What?" Mrs. Lee turned to her son and glared at them. "I am getting bored for always being left alone at home!"

"Boys, don't be ridiculous!" Mr.Lee chided his sons. "Your mom needs sometime for herself." He said tenderly to his wife as they lovingly gazed at each other.

Aera's family asked me a lot of things and I found himself opening up, sharing stories and laughter with her parents. Even her brothers started to loosen up and even shared a bottle of beer after we had our meal.

"Aera was everything to us," her eldest brother said seriously, staring straight in my eyes.

"If you ever hurt her, just make sure you keep yourself well hidden because I am going to beat the sh!t out of you!" Her second older brother chimed in.

"I promised you," I look into their eyes one by one, "I will protect Aera just as much as you do and will never let anyone hurt her, including myself."

They all nodded in agreement.

As the evening progressed, I realized how much Aera's family meant to her and how important their approval was to me.

I saw the love and care they had for their daughter reflected in every gesture and word. It was clear that family was at the heart of their home.

By the end of the evening, I felt a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to meet Aera's parents.

I knew that their approval was not just about me but about their daughter's happiness. As I bid them goodbye, I felt a sense of belonging and acceptance in their home.

Meeting Aera's parents had been a nerve-wracking experience, but it had also been a heartwarming one.

It was a step towards building a stronger bond not just with Aera, but with her family as well. I left their home with a smile on my face, grateful for the chance to be a part of their lives.

"So," Aera breaks the silence inside the car. We are now heading home and first, I have to drop her off to her place.

I turned my head and smiled, "Sooo what?" I teased her.

"So, how do you find my family. How do you feel about them?" She inquired with lots curiousity in her voice.

"Honestly?" I glanced towards her before continuing, "if it's not in the middle of night right now, I am going to drive into the city hall to register our marriage certificate so I will become a part your family."

Aera fell silent after that and I feared I must have said something to upset her. I stole a glanced at the dash board mirror and saw her smiling. That got me sigh in relief.

"It's your turn to meet my family next time," I informed her.

Her smile faded. "What?" she exclaimed with a flustered cheeks.

I laughed at her reaction. " Relax," I reach to touch and carress her cheek that turned into a color of a cute pink rosebud.
"They don't bite," mimicking her words earlier.

"What should I bring them?" she asked thoughtfully.

"You don't need to bring anything. Just yourself. That is enough." I answered.

My parents already knew about Aera and they always encouraged me to tell her about how I feel about her. That time, she was still in a relationship with her now ex-boyfriend and my heart burns with jealousy everytime I see them together.

My mom would love her, I am sure of that.

I dropped Aera off to her doorstep and before she went inside, she turned to face me as I lean on the doorframe.

Her smile sent my heart into sommersault. What I would have to give to get to see her smile for the rest of my life.

"Aera," I whispered as I slowly lower my face towards hers.

My gaze went to her inviting lips as my chest thudded in anticipation. I swallowed a lump on my throat as my lips was an inch away into touching her lips.

"Eheeeeeeeeem!"

Our heads snapped up in surprise. We both turned and saw Aera's elderly couple neighbors who were just coming home too. They also night have come from a party as they are both in their best attires.

"Don't mind us," the old man said teasingly, "we were just passing through!" There was a laughter laced in his voice.

The old woman hit him on the shoulder as they walked past us.

"Go on, go on!" Aera and I laughed as the old man's head turned to us once more before entering inside their home.

I scratched the back of my neck and look at Aera awkwardly. She's obviously concious too and her eyes keep looking everywhere except me.

"I think I should go now," I told her. I am still reluctant to part with her but it already late in the evening.

"Okay," she responded.

As I lay in my bed and staring up at tje ceiling, I can't help but think about Aera. I have been in love with her for a long time. A wide smile slowly spread on my face because it is only a matter of time before I could call her mine.
