Since that incident at her place, Aera has avoided me. I tried talking to her, but she kept rejecting me.
Pursuing a girl is very much not my style. I'm accustomed to them pursuing me instead. But when it comes to Aera, I will go to any length to get her attention.
Her ex-fiancè must have hurt her so much that she became aloof.
I was driving home after a date when I noticed someone sitting on the sidewalk. Normally, I'll just drive by, but this time, something inside me told me to pull over. I did it because I had a nagging feeling that wasn't going away.
I stopped my car a few steps away from the person and walk back. As I got closer, I realized it was a girl. She sat against the wall. People just simply stared and walked away. My heart raced when I realized she looked familiar. Oh my goodness, it is Aera! I exclaimed as I took a closer look.
"Aera!" I rushed over to her. She reeked of alcohol. "Why was she drinking alone again? "Aissh this girl." I mumbled to myself.
I helped her up. If I had not supported her, she would have fallen to the ground.
She opened her eyes and stared at me. "Oh, Jimin," she said drunkenly, smiling at me.
If she were sober, she would not look at me.
I have to carry her to the car. She's so drunk she couldn't walk straight. Our building is a bit further away from where I found her.
"Why are you out drinking alone again?"I told her off. "If I had not seen you, you would have been sitting there all night!"
"Aww, cute Jimin is mad," she said, laughing.
Did she just call me cute? What the f**k? Girls describe me as handsome, sexy, and hot. Cute? Unexpectedly, a warm feeling enveloped me, and I could not stop smiling. At the very least, she thinks I am cute. Even though it came from a very drunk Lee Aera, I will take it as a compliment.
I heard her gagging and groaning. Oh my God, she is going to vomit! I freaked out. I just got my car cleaned up.
"Aera, please wait!" I pulled over to the side. "Not in my car, Aera! She threw up before I even stepped out. The sour smell permeated my car's small space.
All I could do was hit the steering wheel and crumple my face with my hands.
"Sorry, Jimin-si!"Aera cried.
I can not be mad at her, even though I wanted to cry myself. "It's okay." I reached out and caressed her hair.
I felt conflicted whether to take her to my place or hers. I have not washed the pillowcase she used when she last slept in my room. Her shampoo smells nice to me. It is not every day, or night, that your crush sleeps on your bed.
F*ck that! I don't mind if she punched me in the morning. I'm taking her to my place.
I carried her on my back from the basement carpark to my front door. She was not particularly heavy.
When we got inside, she said she needed to use the bathroom. I went into my closet and took one of my shirts and a towel.
"Aera?" I knocked on the bathroom door. I can hear the tap running.
"Yeah?" she said from inside.
"Change into this first."I told her.
She opened the door slightly and reached for the shirt and towel in my hands.
I went into my kitchen to prepare some tea.
I jumped with surprise when I turned around. Aera stood in the kitchen's doorway. Her face is now bare, with no makeup. She looks even more beautiful. She appears younger than her 25-year-old age.
"You scared me," I chuckled nervously.
"This is not my house," she complained, pouting. She sat in a chair.
I told her, "You are in my place."
She simply looks at me and nods.
"Thank you for helping me again.""No problem." "Here," I said, offering her tea. Be careful it's hot."
I sat beside her. I felt very nervous around her. We were silent for a long time until I heard her sniffling.
I turned in my seat to face her. She had her feet up on her chair and her head tucked between her legs. She was crying, and it broke my heart.
"Hey," I said, placing my hands on her knees to comfort her. "Tell me what is bothering you."
She lifted her head and stared at me.
"I felt pathetic." She burst out crying."Everybody believes it was my fault that that jerk cheated on me!" She spoke in between hiccups. "He made a fool of me for a year. I trusted him." Her tears are like sharp needles in my heart.
I stood up and moved to hug her from behind. I remained silent. I simply held her. She wept for a while.
She softly called out to me, "Jimin."
"Yeah?" I respond.
"Am I not pretty? Am I not worthy enough?"
I squatted in front of her. I wiped away her tears as I cupped her face. "You are very beautiful and worthy of love. Paul just did not realize what he was missing." I assured her.
She looked into my eyes to see if I was sincere. My gaze moved to her lips, just as hers did to mine.
I inched closer to her. She did not move away. It encouraged me to keep going.
When our lips finally met, I felt my entire body warm up. I lifted her out of the chair and wrapped her legs around my waist.
I rest her back against the wall as I placed my other hand on her side, while the other was wrapped around her waist.
Our kiss deepened, and my desire grew. I grind my hips into her, letting her know how much I desired her.
She gasped and stopped kissing me.
"What's wrong,"I asked her softly.
"No!" She pushed me.
"Aera, I like you," I admitted. "Take a chance on me, please," I begged.
"No!" She pushed me even harder. "You are exactly the same as Paul." She said, tears falling from her eyes once more.
My heart broke as the door slammed shut.
