Urokodaki stands to his feet and steps in front of the two, his hands raised to the twins in a sign to have them stand down.
"Don't. They are harmless, put your weapons away." Urokodaki orders.
"You have been harboring a demon?!" Aicha questions in disbelief.
"A demon who does not eat humans, she is harmless. There is no need for this." Urokodaki tries to reason. Amara begins to pace around the three, getting into stance. Her eyes set only on the younger girl.
"How can you be so sure? Demons are able to lie and mislead, what's different about this one?" Amara asks, tightening her grip on her weapons.
"No! Nezuko would never hurt anyone!" The boy speaks up and the twins turn their attention to him.
"Nezuko has been asleep for two years and has never once killed anyone," his dark red irises glare at Amara.
"And if you so much as lay a finger on my sister, I'll head butt you!" The boy threatens and Amara's eyes widen a bit more.
"Your sister..?" The older twin parrots.
"Enough of this! Hand her over now, and we'll make sure that her death is quick and merciful." Aicha demands impatiently. She raises her ninchirin sword and points it at the siblings.
"There's no need to keep her the way she is, whose to say somewhere along the road she'll turn into a full demon?" Aicha questions and that seemed to make the boy think for a moment then he looks straight in Aicha's eyes, his look of determination evident in his gaze.
"Then I swear on my life that no matter how long or what it takes, I will find a way to turn Nezuko back to human! Even if that means giving up my life to do so! I'm her older brother, and I will do anything to keep her safe!" He declares.
There is a silence in the air that makes the already tensed air much thinner than it need be. The twins held their weapons fast as they kept their eyes on the younger duo, prepared for any moment that the girl, Nezuko, would make any sudden moves.
However, in her own thoughts, Amara was studying the siblings watching how tightly the boy was keeping a hand over his sister to protect her. This boy...Amara looked over his figure, he was obviously exhausted, had wounds all over his hands and one wrapped around his head, there was dirt and blood staining his kimono and yet...he was still willing to keep his sister safe.
Amara then looked over at her own sister. In this scenario, would Aicha be willing to do the same thing? Would she take the risk of everything they knew, what they trained for, and their beliefs to help her change back to human as well?
"Tell me..." Amara begins as she glares at the boy. His attention is shifted to Amara again.
"Your sister, when she was turned, how did she overcome the scent of human blood? How was she able to not kill you as soon as she grew fangs?" Amara begins to approach the younger duo, her weapons still up for any kind of conflict.
"Tell me, why your sister is any different than the demons that have massacred so many?! Tell me!" Amara demands holding her Flyssa up to his chin, the tip of the blade kissing the skin.
"It's because I trust her." Amara looks at him in shock. Trust her? Trust a demon?
The boy glances down at his sister who is cuddling into his chest, obviously not worried about the situation at hand. He smiles softly.
"Nezuko...she remembered who I was...even when another was trying to kill her she had protected me, and I knew...I knew in her state that she was still the same Nezuko, my sweet little sister, who would never hurt anyone." He spoke without any hesitation and Amara watched him for a moment to see if he was just saying these things.
