Leaving the Butterfly Mansion, the twins return to the path back to Lord Ubuyashiki's home and head on to their quarters. The sun had finally set and the first signs of fireflies were starting to come out."I wish he wouldn't put so much pressure onto himself." Aicha says and Amara hums in agreement.
"He's so brave for even doing so much of what he's done now but, I fear that he will stress himself out." She continued.
The twins arrive back to their quarters and stand in front of the door. Amara places a hand on her sister's shoulder and shakes it gently.
"We can only give him our support, and if he asks for our help we give it. In the end, it is Tanjiro's decision to make, not ours." Amara says. Aicha nods in understanding.
Amara's hand never reached the handle of the shoji door before the sound of footsteps approached them from the right.
Looking up, the twins saw a male servant holding a lantern come to a stop a foot in front of them to bow at the waist.
"Lord Ubuyashiki has sent me to direct you both to the main house. Please follow me." He said and turns around, beginning to walk the twins to the main house.
The short journey to the main house was quiet and the twins looked around the manor grounds' intricate landscape and soft colors of the house blended perfectly with the gardens nearby.
The servant stopped in front of a shoji door and motioned for both to kneel on the engawa. The man knocks twice on the door and apologizes for the interruption, announcing their presence.
"You may enter." Lord Ubuyashiki's kind voice called out from the inside.
Opening the door, the servant bowed until his forehead kissed the wood below. The women bow as well.
"I have brought your guests my lord." The servant says.
"Yes, thank you. You may retire for the night." Ubuyashiki says.
The servant nods, still bowed and then stands to his feet, walking backwards with his head still bowed until he was out of line of sight.
The twins look up from their bow and quietly gasp.
The curse mark that was once around his eyes, was now covering his entire neck and his right hand.
"Please enter, Amara and Aicha. We have much to discuss." He says.
The twins shuffle on their knees to sit on the tatami mat of the room and see Ubuyashiki pull the blanket up further around his waist.
"I hope your visit with young Tanjiro went well?"
"Yes, he and Nezuko are doing well." Amara answered.
"I'm glad to hear that," he smiles in their direction.
"I called upon you tonight because, I have a favor to ask of you both." He begins and the twins watch him in anticipation.
"In a couple of days, one of my Hashira is going on a mission to a small fish village towards the east and I would hope to have one of you accompany them." He says and the twins look at one another then back to the sickly man.
"Forgive me for asking Lord Ubuyashiki but, isn't your Hashira your most powerful warrior of the corps? What would we need to accompany them if they are able to take down a high ranking demon?" Aicha asks.
"You see, this village has been attacked more times than we have seen. Although, I trust my Hashira to do what is necessary to protect the people but, it would seem that the demons that have frequented there has become more elusive than the demons we've handled previously." He explains, then digs through the right sleeve of his haori, and pulls out a scroll.
