Chapter 2: Kai's "Nightmare" & An Attempt

Kai woke up about two hours later, it was dark outside and it looked like everyone was asleep. He wouldn't admit it but he blushed a little when he realised he was sleeping on top of both Cole and Jay.

As he made his way back to his room he heard something from his little sisters room so he decided to sneak over to the door and try to figure out what was going on.

"Nya, shh! You're gonna get us caught."

'Nope, that's enough for me, I'll just deal with it in the morning, I'm too tired to deal with this bullshit. Plus I don't wanna just burst in and see that. Especially not my little sister. Ew. FSM, I'm going to bed.' Kai thinks to himself, walking away from the door swiftly, yawning as he enters his room.

He can't sleep, thinking about what he's just heard, he thinks aloud "They're not actually..."

"...right? There's no way, she wouldn't..." he grows ever more worried with each second "She couldn't do that to Jay... right? But with who... that voice it sounded.. familiar... but it was muffled.." Oh fsm I hope I was just mishearing things... but it sounded she was. But if so.. who is the other person? I couldn't quite make out their voice I-" he decides to sneak back out to the hallway outside her room and listen in again.

"Nya, that was fun, but I should probably go before someone sees me" Skylor's voice isn't fully a shock to him but he's still taken aback. 'How could she? With my own sister?'

"Okay, babe, but you really need to break up with him soon." Nya replies, giggling slightly.

"So do you, hypocrite." Skylor says in a playful tone.

Kai swiftly makes his way back to his room shutting the door quietly, his heart racing. He made it, just before Skylor opened the door too. "I-" he whispers to himself trying to get his thoughts in order. He slouches to the ground, his back against the door; silent tears rolling down his face.

'Why am I even upset? Haah, I didn't even like her anymore, I shouldn't care.. but we're still dating.. I didn't want this to happen' He pauses briefly, trying to get his thoughts in order before continuing, this time aloud, but whispering slightly

"What about what Jay told us he saw in the ice? Ugh! This doesn't make ANY sense! None of it makes any sense! I mean maybe the time thingy Jay mentioned happening after defeating Nadakahn has something to do with it cause the future got altered?"

Kai stopped talking to himself, climbed back into his bed, and just layed there until he finally fell asleep... being woken up by Lloyd what felt like not even 5 minutes after.

"Sensei Wu told me to come get you, it's time for training." The blond haired ninja said, shaking Kai a little to wake him.

Kai groaned "Ugh, already? But it's only.." he looked at the clock beside his bed "It's only seven o'clock."

Zane walked by the door and stated "Seven fifteen." smiling cheerfully as he walked off.

'Great, only like one hour of sleep, training is gonna suck." Kai thought to himself. "Ugh. Okayyy, I'll be out after I get dressed." Kai said, groaning. Lloyd left the room. Once Kai finally got up and started getting dressed he started to wonder 'Was last night real? Was it all a nightmare?'
