Sanji woke up this morning happily. He gets off his bed and prepares himself, humming a little song at the same time. He felt that things were getting better with Zoro. Each day, a little progress was made. Yesterday, they had a great night at the restaurant. After finding Zoro and Jeff talking in the office, Sanji went to prepare the desert where Jeff and he had an interesting conversation.

Flashback

"Little brat, what are you doing?" Jeff came in his direction.

"Making dessert for the three boys. They loved sweets, especially Chopper, the little one." Sanji explained with a little smile, thinking about how the boy would be pleased when he would see his plate.

"And the green plant he doesn't want any?"

"He doesn't like much sweet apart for a precise chocolate." Sanji explained, remembering the day they went to the grocery shop at the beach house.

Jeff only hummed and nodded but didn't respond thinking about something, which Sanji didn't give any attention to. Jeff stayed around him till he finished preparing the plates. The blond was moving effortlessly, a smile on his face. Jeff stared at him. Examining the behaviour of his protected one. Everything was beginning to make sense in his mind. He finally had all the pieces of the puzzle. Thinking about it again, he found it quite funny that he and Sanji had tried to help the same people without knowing it. He was sure that Sanji had seen the same thing in these people as he had.

Sanji was going to take the plates to the boys when Jeff stopped him.

"Sanji, take your night off."

"What? But I'm supposed to close the restaurant." Sanji was astonished not once. Did the old man give him his night off. Especially when he was the one supposed to close it.

"You hear me, don't say anything, or I will change my mind." The moustachioed man turned his back on him and headed back to the rest of the cooks.

"Thanks, old man."

"Oh and Sanji!" He finally called. "Don't break his heart. I like him." Jeff stated before leaving back to his office. Sanji looked astonished at his father's words.

He softly smiled and whispered to himself: "I don't plan to."

End of the flashback

He looked at himself in the mirror and smiled. He had made mistakes, but he wanted to pass them and start over. He was ready and would do everything he needed for the cactus to let him have a second chance.

His resolution started now by preparing breakfast for everyone. Not ever again, will they miss food. He went to the kitchen and started cooking. The sun hadn't risen yet. Sanji was always the first one to wake up to prepare breakfast. But it didn't bother him. He loved pleasing the other with his cooking. He continued living his life when he heard the front door slam. Who could it be at this hour? Everyone was sleeping! Could it be a thief? Wasn't the door locked?

With a knife in his hand, Sanji went slowly and quietly to the hall. Everything was dark. He couldn't see anything. He tried to listen but didn't hear any sound. Could he have imagined the door slam? He went to turn the light on. But as he predicted, there wasn't anyone. He looked around, and nothing was missing. Sanji started breathing again. He must have imagined the door slam.

He went back to the kitchen, still a little frightened, but continued to cook as if nothing had happened.

After one hour, the breakfast was finally ready. He knew the boys would be down in a few minutes, so he decided to turn on the television. And a few minutes later, as he predicted, he heard laughing coming from the stars. He turned around to see the three boys and Nami coming downstairs.
