I never saw it going this way

Never thought that I would say

Goodbye to the other side

But here we are once again

I never wanted to break my heart

But I do it almost every time

Because I'm too afraid to talk about it

And that's a story for another time

But now it's time to say goodbye

To the person that you used to know

And be the person that you've longed to be

It's time to say goodbye

To the comfortable and time for the unordinary

Because the world is open for a reason

I know that there were great chapters

There were memories unlike any

But now it's time for us to close the book

Because we can't be who we aren't

I know that they are used to him

But he isn't who I want to be anymore

I want to be known as a free soul

Because it's time for me to get my wings

You don't want to lose your future

Because you're just stuck in the past

And I know that it'll never be that easy
