I think it's really cute, I really do see the two getting together, as they did really care for each other when Kanae was still alive, even after her death he makes sure it check up on her sister, which I find sweet. Even if they had basically very little interactions, which are basically mentions, I still really love this ship, and wish it was canon. Even Gyomei says Sanemi likes Kanae-
