This does involve some good spoilers for the manga and anime so yeah just putting it out there, pretty sure I've spoiled some other things -
Yuishiro comes off as strict and hates when someone even looks at her, he needs to chill like real bad around her. Tamayo and Yushiro do care for each other, however their relationship is kinda weird which throws me off.
But there are also a lot of things that make me like them together at the same time.
Tamayo did save Yushiro from death, and even gave him a choice of he wanted to live and warned him if the consequences of being a demon. Even when Tamayo ended up losing her life, Yushiro never stopped loving her even if she never loved him. She still loves her husband and child back then, but she did promise to marry him in the next life.
Yushiro spent over 100 years waiting for Tamayo, and even painted thousands of paintings of her, just so he can never forget her face, that's what I almost call a true love story, he was willing to do whatever for her, even wasting many years of his life just for her, I respect that
