This chapter and the ones after will need major editing. I'll be reading over to fix the errors and some mistakes so please don't use it against me.
Shrimp tacos, shrimp and pasta, quesadillas, I chicken stir fry, ham and cheese sandwiches, Manish water soup, jerk chicken and pork, hotdogs, baked Mac and cheese, salads and lots of beverages options. Can't forget the cakes, ice cream and sweets at a birthday party.
Two pinatas were brought in, one for Sani and the other for daddy. He did the same for my childhood and I'm sure Sani will love this memory as well.
Since their birthday party were posponed for over two weeks, it had to be kept somehow.
Lani and I went all out for them on the food. Everything else was done by our family and friends.
In the daytime, it was child's play but the nighttime was a ground for adults.
I left Lani and everyone at the venue, going to spend the night with my grandparents since grandma was back from her travels.
This would be Sani and I first sleep over, or more like mine since she was falling over every few seconds.
Tired from today's activity and also sticky from all the sweetness and sweat.
"Mommy, sleep." She whispers but I keep ticking her so her eyes would stay open.
"We're almost there." I told her.
"Papa, Sani sleep." She complains to grandfather and I laughed.
"We're here, princess." He points to the property we're entering.
Their Beverly hills townhouse.
It's a lot simple than the extravagant village they got in Trelawny.
Exiting the car, we had to make Sani walk and the way she was going at it. It's like watching a drunk man stagger.
It was entertaining to my grandparents. Even as she got inside and the bright lights hits her eyes.
"Mommy, Sani want to sleep." She pleads and I laughed.
"Let me show you her room." Grandma leads the way and I followed her upstairs.
Sani's room has a door leading to my room and as I took a shower, grandma bathe Sani. When I was finished and dressed for bed, I returned to see grandpa feeding Sani with her tea in a sippy cup.
She has her fingers in his facial hair as usual and she was drinking the tea with her eyes closed. Smelling of baby lotion and ammens' powder.
"You should be resting, my dear." Grandpa looks up at me.
"I know, but I'm a little curious about the media encounter." I took a seat and snatched one of the blankets to put over my head.
Grandpa laughs at my action.
"Well, those sharks gathers information on influencial families, the government and media personnels to earn a living." He chuckled, putting the cup aside and puts a sleepy Sani up on his shoulder.
"Oh, well I had an art email address on my social media bio and that where I saw a few emails some says ago. It's almost like they wanted to know about the comment I made on Jehlani's live."
"About Chad being your cousin. It was inquired today." He answered and I nod. "Being present at the event should've been obvious."
I laughed.
"Maybe they wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth." I teased and he laughs too.
Then Sani burped, so grandpa puts her in bed.
