This chapter and the ones after will need major editing. I'll be reading over to fix the errors and some mistakes so please don't use it against me.
After our son Johari Zaveir Masters was born, or wedding was a quick one.We agreed to a small function as we promise to hold a big one someday in the future.
We had moved out temporarily and reconstructing our dream home.
The house behind ours was a little run down and the owners next of kin needed some money so they sold the place to us.
We been talking to our family about the house that seems to be getting smaller due to them spoiling the kids with gifts, we barely had space.
Somehow, Lani and I figure that out families did something to prevent us from leaving. More like his father as all arrows points back to him. Someone selling us their place two months after we said it is on a whole other level of suspicious. It didn't seems like a mere coincidence.
We had reside in a vacant apartment that daddy usually has on rental, while our place got bulldozed and widened. We've been there for two additional years and our lives keeps getting better.
Engaged after eight months of knowing each other, being married for two years and four months. Overall, it seems like forever as everyday together proves that we belong together.
I now see the definition of the uptown movement.
My in-laws or grandparents showed their faces a few times and there were no delay in the construction. Not even once.
Business was business, and the contractors and such had to work for the money we're paying them.
An how did we get the money, our wedding gifts were money sent to our account.
We chose to stay home for our honeymoon.
We agreed to build instead of traveling.
Little by little, till our dream home was completed. As introverts, having thee dream home was the best luxury to have.
An with us moving back since everything was completed, it's a slow process.
With my babies here with me as we're picking up snacks for our family movie night.
More like their daddy is coming back from a week away at work in Negril, Trelawny and Ochi. I dropped all my work load on him with my rental homes as well as the few rental properties daddy gave me.
Addition to that, all my grandparents inheritance is left in his hands to put his business degree to good use. An with the work on our home being over with, recent incomes become investment in our family businesses.
So one way or the other, money is always coming in our inner circle. Only between close friends and family.
"This, peeze?" Johari asked, pointing to the coconut flavored sandwich biscuits.
I smiled and remembered how Sani was just like him some time ago. Tiny and cute.
"Yes baby."
My response had Sani picking up two instead of one. As she had learned to share things equally between them. It's one for him and one for her.
She puts them in the shopping cart and held his hand again.
He agreed to walk so he could come along, if not, we wouldn't be here. It's a way to motivate both kids as we've been inside for sometime.
"Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white. All are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world." Sani continues to sing, swinging her brother's arm.
