Two Weeks Later...
Ahra's P.O.V
"So I guess you like him." My mom says, causing me to choke on my spit. Does she know?
"Like, as a bodyguard, yeah." I say and she hums.
"Well, of course sweetie, how else?" My mom says and laughs while I just nervously laugh.
"Yeah, right." I say. Gosh, could I be more obvious?
"So the trial is over, Sunghoon is staying." My mom says over the phone.
"Yup! Well, I have to get back to filling out some forms. I love you mom." I say and I just know she's smiling.
"Love you too sweetie, I'm glad you're doing better." My mom says and we hand up the phone.
I let out a long sigh as I looked around my office and think. Sunghoon is using the bathroom because, believe it or not, bodyguards also use the bathroom. Ever since the whole thing after the party, things between Sunghoon and I have been odd. Not weird, but odd.
We haven't been Arguing, but we also have not been hanging out either. I have been trying to just keep this professional and I can tell Sunghoon is too. One half of me actually likes this new medium we've reached, but the other half of me, the bad and troublesome side of me, so badly wants me to act on my feelings.
"Ahra, are you ok?" Sunghoon asks and Minji is standing right behind him.
"Yup, just spaced out a little. Hey Minji, what's up." I ask and she smiles and walks over to me.
"Oh, nothing, just have a date tonight. You?" Minji says and my eyes and mouth go wide.
"WhAT?!! Who, tell me now, who!?" I say, practically screaming.
"SHHHH!!! Lower your voice. I'll tell you." Minji says, sitting across from me at my office desk.
"Ok, hurry." I say and she nods with a smile.
"Heeseung just came by with flowers and asked me on a date later tonight and I obviously said yes, so you need to come over and help me get ready." Minji says, her eyes sparkling and smile bright. Aww I love seeing my friend happy.
"Um Hello?! You've liked him for so long, of course I'm going to help you get ready!" I say and she laughs a little.
"Good cause I'm seriously gonna need help." Minji says and I nod in agreement.
-----------------------------------
"Hey! Come in guys." Minji says, letting Sunghoon and I in the house.
"Hey, have you showered?" I ask and she nods. We walk up to her room.
"I'll be right outside the door if you need me." Sunghoon says to the both of us but was looking at me.
"Ok." I say and close the door. Ughh I hate how he makes me feel.
"Ok, what was that about?" Minji asks. Right, I haven't told her yet.
"What was what about?" I ask, trying my hardest not to seem suspicious.
"Nothing... never mind." She says and I let out a small sigh of relief. "So I showered and was just about to curl my hair before I do my make up." Minji says and I nod.
"Ok, let me go get you something to wear." I say and go into her closet.
"What color are you thinking for tonight? Black, White, Red, Silver?" I ask, rummaging through her closet.
"Oh I have no clue, that's why you're here." Minji says and we both laugh.
"Alright, I'll pick out what I think looks best on you." I say and she agrees.
Minji's hair is currently dyed a dark red color so I think a black dress with gold accessories would suit her best. I found a beautiful black dress that I know will make her look amazing.
I go through her jewelry and find some medium size gold hoops, a gold bracelet, and a gold necklace as accessories. And lastly, I found a pair of glittery gold heels to finish the look. I take everything I found and place them on her bed, and the shoes on the floor.
"Outfit is done, now for your makeup." I say and she smiles, her hair styled with pretty curls done by the curling iron.
"I think for your eyes, you should do a slight smokey eye with a gold glitter cut crease. How does that sound?" I ask her and she looks at me with wide eyes and a smile.
"That is literally perfect, Ahra!" She squeals. I laugh at her cute reaction.
After about forty minutes, Minji's makeup is done and it's time to put her outfit on before Heeseung gets here.
"Ok, this is the dress." I show her and she can't stop smiling.
"I love it." She says and we quickly get her in the dress.
Minji sits down and puts her jewelry on while I put her shoes on. Once she's done, we leave the room and find Sunghoon standing outside the room. I kind of feel bad, he's been standing out here for so long.
"Wow, you look nice Minji." Sunghoon says, nodding his head.
"Thank you Sunghoon." Minji says. Suddenly, the doorbell rings.
"Omg, that's him." Minji says, and rushes down the stairs. We all head downstairs and stand by the door. Minji opens it and reveals Heeseung with another bouquet of flowers. White tulips, Minji's favorite.
"Hi Heeseung." Minji says, grabbing the flowers.
"Wow, Minji, you look gorgeous." Heeseung says and I am reminded of when Sunghoon called me gorgeous the night of the party.
"Thank you. You look handsome." Minji says, her cheeks getting red. She's so cuteee.
"Before you guys go, Heeseung, you better be real careful with my best friend, understand? One wrong move and my bodyguard will hunt you down and find you, I'm not joking." I say, my face straight, causing Heeseungs smile to drop.
"Y-yes, I understand." Heeseung says and Minji shakes her head.
"Ok, have fun! Love you Minji. Stop by tomorrow to tell me how it goes." I say and she smiles.
"Yup, love you too!" She says and grabs Heeseung's hand and they walk back to his car.
"Oh, he better open the door for her." I say and Sunghoon chuckles. Heeseung does in fact open the door for Minji and then goes to the driver's side, driving off.
"You trust Heeseung, don't you?" Sunghoon asks me as we leave Minji's house and get in the car.
"Yeah, I do. We all went to high school together and Heeseung and I were pretty close. He actually had a crush on Minji but she was too busy drooling over someone else. Plus, I would not have let her even go on this date if I didn't trust him." I say and he nods.
"He does seem mature and respectful." Sunghoon says and I nod.
"Yeah, he has always been like that." I say and he nods.
"Kind of reminds me of my high school years. I had a crush on this girl but I never confessed." Sunghoon says and my chest feels slightly heavy.
"Why didn't you?" I ask, curious about it, yet I kind of don't want to know.
"I guess I was scared of rejection, I sort of still am. I thought that her rejecting me was worse than never telling her and liking her from afar." Sunghoon says and I feel really sad for him. I guess, if I'm ever ready to face my feelings and act on them, I'll need to be the one to confess.
Sunghoon's P.O.V
"I thought that her rejecting me was worse than never telling her and liking her from afar." I say and she slowly nods, looking away.
Why do I always do this to myself? I guess I'm used to liking from afar, what's one more girl?
