I walked out the house wearing a black slightly fitted dress which stuck to my body because of the Dallas heat. Black skin tights underneath leading down to my shiny black flats that had never been worn. They were not really my style but mami forced me to buy them, and ever since that day, they'd been sat laying at the back of my closet.

I let my wavy curly hair flow down to my hip. Although I was forced to wear the dress, I zipped my mouth and got into my fathers shiny car, which carried the whole family, me, Keleo, Celeste, mami and dad.

In the blink of an eye, I found myself sitting up straight, arms crossed on a court bench. I eyed the judge as he walked up to his high raised chair with folders and files. My folder and my file. My record was clean because I was a 'good' kid. As a sixteen year old, I haven't shoplifted or done anything to get into trouble-trouble, well I did get in trouble when I fought Kaya Mallory in my Art class. She ate my fists for lunch, she threw black paint all over my 2-day art work and it was a hot summer day, to top it off my anger issues were a lot more unpredictable back then. Now? Now I'm in court for who knows what they'll put my crime under.

I jumped a little bit at the loud sound of the gavel slamming down on the block as the ageing judge called out, "Selene Von Sanchez, II please rise."
I was the second Selene in the family tree, my great-grandmother was the first. It's a coincidence she had double coloured eyes too. She was the first of my family to come to the US from our wealthy family from Colombia. Our family surname named; Von Sanchez.
I stood up and placed my hands to my side, a frightened face fighting to be hidden.
See, I'd leave my house anyday, forever even, but for jail? I'd have to think about that twice.

"See, you're here in court this morning as you...," the judge started, almost bored before his face lit up as his eyes widened as they shot to me before he continued reading off the paper, "Set fire to a row of school lockers....With Sodium Metal and water with a lighter?"

A wave of quietness washed over the courtroom before the judge cleared his throat, "Well, I could send you to jail, and I wouldn't lose a peep of sleep over it." His thick southern accent spoke, "But what good would that do you? If anything it would provoke you."

My eyebrow twitched at his next sentence, "The plan was to send you to an All Girls Youth Improvement Camp, but it is full so now we narrow our options to two locations. Camp Green Lake or Jail?" The Judge now placed down the papers that were in his hand to the right on his wooden desk.

I sat, contemplating my answer before blinking fastly answering, "Camp Green Lake, judge."

He pulled a sarcastic smile before he knocked down his gavel on the sounding block, "Good. From this day onwards, you, Selene Von Sanchez II are found guilty for the misuse of Chemicals, Arson and Vandalism. You'll be taken to Camp Green Lake, where you'll be living out your eighteen month sentence by a bus that should be awaiting you when the clock strikes 14:00. Court Dismissed."

I sighed before slumping down in my seat, my smirking twin sister next to me whispering, "You're such a dumbass."

I scrunched up my knuckles, side-glaring at her before watching three people walk through the entrance door of the courtroom. The three people happened to be teens, my best friends; Trevor, Clora and Lory.

I shot up from my seat and walked over to them, my eyes scanning the room watching the cops give each other a look before relaxing. I hated being treated like a criminal when I wasn't!

Clora pulled me into a tight hug, almost suffocating me then unwrapping her hands around me, panicking, "Where are you going? What'd he say? Jail? Innocent? House arrest?" Trevor put his arms around Clora to calm her down while my eyes turned to Lorys' piercing green eyes as he looked into my soul.
"Hey." I said, quite dryly before a suspicious look came on his face before speaking, "You're going aren't you?" He sighed and looked down now.
