On the way back to tents, I noticed most people looked my way as I passed. What was the problem? I brushed it off casually before continuing my walk back to tents.

The loud alarm rang, almost deafening me at the loudness. I looked around and saw all the other boys in other tents were either coming out their tents or the Wreck Room and were all on their way to the Mess Hall. I wasn't far from D-Tent but at this rate, I think that they'll probably be in the Mess Hall.

I stopped walking now and watched the queue to enter the Mess Hall grow, the river of orange jumpsuits doubling to a sea. I changed my destination from tents to the Messhall and subtly jumped the queue, successfully making it to the tenth person in the line. I learnt from the best! What can I say?

Sooner or later, I reached the front of the slow queue and grabbed a tray. The boy standing in front of me, on the other side of the 'food' of course, stared at me a little bit before slowly pouring on what looked like an orange sauce. It actually didn't look half as bad as the food usually was. It just reminded me of microwaved tomato soup?

I moved down the food serving line, ignoring the stares I got from the other campers. Well to be fair, they probably thought I was psycho.
Everything so far was going alright until I reached slick-back-haired weirdo at the end of the food serving line who told me, "You look hot when you're angry."

A face of absolute disgust conquered me before I rolled my eyes and muttered, "Yeah, right. And donkeys look cute when they give birth."
He must've heard me as he laughed at my remark, "You're funny."
I stayed silent as I looked at the slick back haired weirdo, I eventually asked him, "What's your name?"

"Lump. Call me it, sweetheart." He winked at me. I've never forced myself to keep a glare in so badly. I internally gagged as a substitute. This Lump guy always plays the same damn song in the Rec room? Does he never dread it?

I picked up my tray and turned around, not exchanging another word to him. My eyes scanned the room and saw a swarm of boys sitting on benches tucked under their tables. My eyes then wandered off to the D-Tent table. 'Well I might as well invite myself' I thought while sighing.

The table went silent as I approached it, tray in my hands.
Zigzag looked up to me from his seating position before shuffling down a little to the edge so I could sit.

I sat down quietly, making sure I didn't cease any of Magnet or Zigzags space. They all looked at me curiously as if I had stolen a cookie and they knew it was me.
"What?" I asked as I looked up from my dinner.
They all looked away but one, Zigzag. I could feel his gaze digging holes into the side of my face. My head slowly turned right, to him.
He continued to stare at me, his wide eyes re-appearing before asking, "So what'd the warden say?"

D-tent now tuned in, thankful someone spoke up or further on, asked the actual question they'd been silently begging for its answer.
"She asked me why I would spend thirty minutes out in the sun. Near the holes." I bluntly told them, not going into detail as I spoke a bit about Zigzag to her.

They all nodded as conversation flooded again, they were talking about their annoying cousins or siblings and having a laugh about it. Really, I loved my cousins, but my own sister? Whew, I hated her, but I tried not to think about it so I could live in peace.

"What about you, Fire?" Caveman asked me.
"Hm. I mean I love my cousins but one. He's quite annoying. But for siblings, I hate my sister."

"Sorry, you got a sister?" Squid asked, his jaw almost dropping.
"Mhm, my twin, biologically." I took a bite out of my bread.
Squid started smirking to himself, there was no way he was seriously considering fancying her?
I educated him, "Don't be gaining feelings now. She's a bitch."
Some of their utensils dropped as they heard me swear, which I wouldn't usually do. Well, except when it comes to talking about Celeste.
