WHICH ONE?

CHAPTER 17 - 'Love is a strong word...'

After what felt like love seconds, my attention was captured by Scissors' voice calling my name, making me turn my head left to him.

His sweet voice turned stern the moment he spotted Zigzag, "I need to take her for a minute. Zigzag." I kept my eyes on Scissors who did have a very happy expression on his face which all of a sudden vanished.
Zigzags eyes stayed on me and my sudden change in focus before glaring off to Scissors, which I didn't really realise.
"We're having a conversation. Can't you see that?" Zigzag rolled his eyes and shimmied a bit closer to me.

"Yes, but I need to talk to her."
"So wait." Zigzag spoke through his teeth. There was tension between them, thick tension. I just don't know what they're so tensed about. Hm, that's a real topic to think about.
I felt warm hands pulling me away from the two who were so close they could knock eachother out. I grew slightly concerned.
I quickly took the clammy hands off my arms but then I stopped at it being Squid.
"Hey, erm. I'm just going to...take you somewhere.-" he paused while thinking, "I have some questions!"
"But-"
"Come on!" he cut me off and got the both of us walking away from the other two. I glanced over my shoulder to see D-Tent circling Zigzag and Scissors, blocking my view completely.

I then looked at Squid, protesting, "Hey! I was talking to him!"
"Conversation must've hit if your begging to go back." Squid chuckled to himself before I slapped his arm lightly, "Shut up." I looked elsewhere as my cheeks gained a pinker hue on them just thinking of his word choice about Zigzag.

"Wait!" He exclaimed loudly, a proud and excited facial expression covering him, "You like him!"
"NO! No, I don't. Squid look at me, I don't." I tried to back myself but failed miserably as Squid started laughing extremely hard, clutching onto his stomach for air.

"Squid listen!" I slapped his arm lightly again as I tried to keep him from discovering the unthinkable.
He stopped laughing slowly and gained back his composure and turned his face to me while we continued walking, "C'mon, admit it."

I looked to the dusty floor and sighed while crossing my arms, "Fine." I mumbled. My head shot up to Squid as I stopped him from walking by lightly grabbing his arm, "You can't tell anyone though. Understood?"

Our eyes locked for a long time as I could see right through him, I knew he was thinking about either making a run for it and telling the boys, or just simply putting me in debt.
A smirk splashed over his face, "Well, princess you're officially in debt. To me."

I rolled my eyes playfully before composing myself and seriously pleading to him, "Look I know you two are close but please Squid, don't tell him."
He nodded, "I won't! Stop stressing." Squid chuckled before asking me, "You don't have a boyfriend back at home do ya?"

"Well... no? It's kind of confusing... Me and this- nevermind about it." I mumbled while looking away trying to avoid the topic. Lets just say, me and Lory have some undealt feelings. Unfinished business. Yeah.

Squid's jaw dropped, "No, I'm not forgettin' about that. Tell me!"

"You really wanna know huh?" I giggled at his round wide eyes that begged for answers. He nodded rapidly, "Cmon Princess. You're in debt."
I sighed as I started to explain, "Well back at home, I had a friend. A boy bestfriend, we're close, really close. His names Lory and he looks a bit like Zigzag you know? But anyways, erm. Well you see, he liked me and he has liked me ever since we met. I just had double feelings about him and the majority of the time I couldn't read his signals. Sometimes I really adored him and I liked him alot, other times? Oh well I guess I would just enjoy his company. You know..."

Squid's shocked expression did not drop, "Wait wait. You mean as in-"
"No! Squid, I'm sixteen!?"

"Sorry, sorry, " He chuckled, "Back to topic, so you like him huh?"
"I'd have to see him again to know. And so far, I haven't got a letter from him so I don't know. But Zigzag? It's indescribable. His blonde hair, his blue eyes, his jokes, his personality. Aw he's just adorable."
"Alright alright Fangirl." Squid laughed at me admiring Zigzag as I pictured him in my mind. I nudged him, "Shut up...But what do I do about Lory?"
