Hailee puts a plate down in front of me and I smile.

"You're the greatest." I say as she kisses my cheek.

"So when am I gonna get a ring?" Hailee asks, as I take a bite.

"What?" I ask.

"When am I-" Hailee asks.

"No, I heard you, but what?" I ask.

"Y/n." Hailee whines.

"What?" I ask.

"We have been together for 2 years. We live together, we go everywhere together, we do everything together - I can't think of a single thing that we do that a married couple wouldn't." Hailee says.

"Are you not ready to get married?" She asks.

"Oh, I'm ready. Just not ready to marry you." I say.

She stares at me and I laugh.

"I'm going on strike." She says.

"What?" I ask.

"No more sex and that means no more quesadillas." She says.

"What? No!" I say.

She picks the plate back up and I quickly get up. I run in front of her and get on one knee.

"I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready." I say, holding her hand.

"Yeah whatever, SpongeBob." She says, walking away.

"Can I at least finish the quesadilla?" I ask, getting up.

Hailee shakes her head and takes a bite.

"Nooo!" I say.

I drop to my knees and fall forwards. I groan and she laughs.

Time Skip

I hear a knock on the door and I open it.

"What's the big emergency?" Max asks as I let him in.

"I need you to go buy an engagement ring and some flowers." I say.

"Did she take your quesadillas away again?" Max asks.

"Yes, but that's not the point. If I'm so upset over losing sweet, sweet, buttery quesadillas, imagine how upset I'd be if I lost her." I say.
