11. Shades of Friendship

Next Day Evening

Hospital

Abhimanyu kept tapping his fingers on the wheel impatiently waiting for his friend who seems to be nowhere near to grace him with his presence. He sighed deeply when finally the door opened and Vaibhav sat inside the car.

"Sorry yaar case main phas gaya tha isliye late ho gaya sorry" Vaibhav apologized making Abhimanyu sigh. He very well knew the case which had held his friend in and had tried his best to talk but it was somewhat like he just doesn't want to talk. He merely nodded at his friend and Vaibhav took his phone taking out the reason he was here. 

"Kuch patah chala" Abhimanyu asked him and Vaibhav nodded in response. He got something but he wasn't sure how much this would be resourceful. 

"Tere Mrs. Rawte se milne ane se pehle someone had visited her maine register check kiya tha it was RK that's it aur jab CCTV cameras check kiya tab usme I could very well say that the woman was smart enough to dodge it I am so sure about this because I could very well see that she was consciously dodging it" Vaibhav explained everything he knew about this and Abhimanyu fell silent on that note. He kept tapping on the steering wheel thinking what to say next. His confusion got into Vaibhav and he sighed. He shared the confusion with Abhimanyu. If what they thinking is true then everything that is going to happen is not simple. Vaibhav cursed their lives. He was always staunch believer of god but everything that is happening recently was somewhere challenging his devotion. 

"So you are saying that this RK is the one we are searching for" Abhimanyu asked tiredly. 

"Yes RK as in Roohi Khurana par wo ishu nahi hai Mannu" Vaibhav exclaimed suddenly sitting straight. 

"Roohi Khurana as in"

"A well known prosecutor of the country, Mannu what does she wants legally" Vaibhav asked him totally confused. He had checked the cctv even before he could question the on duty officer. But he could very well see that this woman was one smart like anything. There was certain aura around her which has kept him impressed even when Vaibhav is not someone who is usually impressed by someone's charms. Abhimanyu shook his head, he can't think of one reason why she wants to take things legally.

"Vaibhav dig down about this lady search everything you can not a point should be left out uske baat dekh te hai what we can do about it" Abhimanyu spoke up after a while and all Vaibhav could was nod his head. 

"Tu thik hai Mannu" he softly asked his friend who rubbed his face letting out a tired sigh.

"I don't know yaar Avi how would you have felt if you have been at my place" Abhimanyu questioned him and all Vaibhav could do was sigh in distress. He was right Abhimanyu was defiantly handling everything commendably well. He would have failed many times in even trying what his friend was doing. That was why he was proud to have him in his life. Because Abhimanyu Rawte was survivor in every means and sense of it. The only regret Vaibhav ever would have to be not there for him and misunderstand him in the starting days of him leaving there. 

"I am sorry my friend" He couldn't help but whisper painfully. If only he had been little more understanding with him. That would always stay as his regret forever. Abhimanyu sighed he very well knew what Vaibhav is exactly sorry for but why can't his friend understand one simple thing that he was never wrong in judging him. True his friend have judged him before, true he was slightly rude in the initial days but never for once did Vaibhav hurt him knowingly. Anyways even he had judged him a lot, that made them even. 

"You don't have anything to be sorry Batra stop being a moron and give me my idiot back samjha ya do muka marunga tab samjhega" Abhimanyu firmly threatened him before the friends shared a chuckle. Vaibhav sighed before turning again at Abhimanyu.
