"Why don't you guys go on that drive now." Dev announced looking at his brothers confusing everyone over there. Atharv was about to reject the idea of the blinking of his brother's eyes and told him that he wanted him to be gone.
"We will join you guys later waise bhi mumma abhi ayi hai so we will rest tum dono ho ke avo." he continued giving reasons and looked at their mother silently urging her to agree with him. Avantika looked at the other and nodded and Abhimanyu sighed.
Unofficially he was being thrown out of the house that day!
He shook his head removing the thoughts and pulled Atharv with him to leave. Avantika looked at Dev once they walked out of the place.
"Kya baat hai bacha kya baat karni hai tujhe." She softly asked walking towards him and Dev made her sit on the chair before kneeling down and catching her hands.
"Mumma I know what you are thinking about." he began once he formed his words.
"To usme itna ghabra ne wali kya baat hai something good is going to happen." Avantika asked him not really getting why he was even upset and about what.
"Bhaiya nahi manenge Ma." He tried to caution her and make sure she doesn't get hurt by going ahead with the plan.
"Are aise kaise nahi manenge uska khudka birthday hai ek hafte baad aise kaise nahi manenge wo" Avantika asked him still not getting what he was trying to say, why would he not like his own birthday celebrations who even doesn't.
"Ma please main janta hoon bhaiya ko itna saal tha main unke saath unhone kabhi celebrate nahi kiya" Dev spoke up desperately. He didn't want either of them getting hurt and he knew this conversation would indeed do that to them. Their bhaiya despised his own birthdays like anything and he would not even hesitate before blasting on the person who would celebrate it.
But in his desperation his tone turned harsh and Avantika looked on hurt. She was right now matter how much time would pass things will always end up in her leaving them no matter for what reason. Her reasons or situations would never matter at the end of the if anything matters was the consequences of her actions.
"Ya right I am sorry how can I forget that" Avantika spoke turning his face away from him her face dressed in a painful expression. She thought she was getting over the guilt of failing all three of her children but she was just realizing that instead of getting out she was dwelling more and more into the guilt.
Dev closed his eyes as he dipped his face into her lap, everything he was doing was ended up being hurt for someone. He didn't know how he have to do it anymore. He was just getting the taste of how difficult things would have been for their bhaiya to take care of merely a toddler, facing the backlash of the whole ruckus they were going through and his daily fights in the house. How stressful would it been for the fifteen years old kid if being an adult he finds it hard to do it.
"That's not how it is Ma oh god kaise samjhavu main aapko" he began not knowing how he was supposed to convince her otherwise.
"Mumma I don't know okay lekin jabse maine dekha hai he hated to celebrate his birthday not one or two times he hated to celebrate it with passion each time" He calmely explained her his view to her inwardly wishing for her understanding to his words.
He was saying that out of his own personal experience. He wanted to celebrate their bhaiyas birthday the time when he knew about his birthday from Vidya Kaki. He was so excited for the surprise so he had called Vaibhav Bhai home along with Vikky and Adi to help him. His bhai tried to reject that idea many times but he was adamant enough to make him agree and finally he had to help infront of his stubborness. That was his brother's first birthday with him and he wanted to make it memorable for him but inturn that day turned out to be a memory he would never be able to forget.
