The next day was random and lazy as it was a Sunday and all were free. Avantika gently opened the door and a smile bloomed on her face seeing the scenario. Atharv was in the centre almost above Abhimanyu fisting his t-shirt and Abhimanyu's one hand held Atharv and other one was near Dev's head who was hugging both of them. Her eyes slightly filled up at the scene she always dreamt to see. She sat beside them remembering all the times she had dreamt to see this daily. She thought she might never be able to see her son's together.
She always wondered how it would be if all three would have grown up together. She remembered a forgotten memory of her eldest during her pregnancy.
"Are baba yeh sab kya hai Mannu" a bewildered Avantika asked him as she saw her eight year old bringing toys from outside.
"Mamma yeh na Barbie doll or kitchen set sab hai isme maine na papa se kehke order karvaya tha apni princess ke liye" Abhimanyu proudly said, he had used almost all of his pocket money to buy it. Avantika 's smile dimmed at her husband's mention, her eldest had always been more closer to his father more than her. She cribbed about it before but now she was afraid of him knowing his father's truth. Her Dinesh is a changed man now, she thought and the smile brightened up. She was overthinking her husband would not cheat her. Would he?
"Par ek minute princess hi hoga yeh aapko kaise patah bacha" Avantika asked him along with walking clutching his small fingers.
"Aap na yaha betho Mumma Nanu ne kaha tha aapko zyada der khade rehna na doon mere princess ke liye acha nahi hai aur rahi baat are main bhaiya hoon uska mujhe nahi patah to tike patah hoga" he replied her back messing up with some words in hurry.
"Acha itna sab patah hai" she asked him amused.
"Ha na maine toh decide bhi karke rakha hai main princess ke aane ke baad kya karunga"
"Acha batavo kya karoge"
"Main ek big aur good brogher hoon so main uskoon sleepy sleepy karunga uska food dunga useke saath games khelunga phir phir ha uska na main draw karna bhi sikhavunga wo flower, tree wo sab hai na wo sikhavunga meri princess ke liye best prince brother banunga" He rambled out in excitement and would have continued had not been stopped by Avantika.
"Are are mere gaddhadhari Bheem shant hoja sans sans ley aur princess ki jagah prince bhi toh ho sakta hai na" Avantika tried preparing him for a brother. Somewhere she had a feeling that it was going to be a boy as all the symptoms she had with her first born was almost same.
"Nahi princess hi hoga mujhe patah hai wait usse hi pooch lete hai na" Abhimanyu said defensively and kept his ears near her stomach before calling out for the baby.
"Princess" he called out but much to his sadness there was no reaction.
"Are Mera bacha kuch bol toh princess" he again tried but still no response. Avantika sighed but let him have his way.
"Bhaiya ki jaan aisa karega bhaiya ke saath" he tried and this time the baby kicked for the first time.
"Kick mara kick mara mumma meri princess ne kick mara" he excitedly chuckled and Avantika let out a teary chuckle. She could only blame her stupid hormones for that.
"Princess one time more kar na please pretty please" He again tried but the baby didn't kicked this time. He got sad but thinking something he kept his head again and called out for the baby again.
"Prince" he hesitantly called out praying that the baby should not kick but much to his disappointment the baby kicked this time. His eyes filled up at an instant. He don't want a brother. Brothers are boring but sisters are cool.
