C H A P T E R 4 :☆ Tsukimiya Ringo's Place ☆
"Assignment?" Mae said after her pink haired teacher.
Tsukimiya Ringo nodded, holding up a finger. "This was an idea from the principal himself considering the assignments you do for me aren't improving at all," Ringo said. "Because of that, he wants you to attend a certain occasion and play the piano there."
"Play... the piano..."
Noticing the look of unwillingness cross Mae's face, Ringo spoke, "It's a requirement. If you don't do it, you'll immediately fail. And you know you can't afford to fail anymore."
The auburn haired female sighed. She was already flunking all the assignments Ringo had given to her thus far; one more failing grade and she'd be out of the school probably.
"But my songs..." Mae began and Ringo's face contorted with vague understanding.
"I know you can do it," he said. "Even if your compositions since the beginning of this year have never been completed once, I believe you'll be able to create a song in time to play it."
Mae's lips downturned as her eyes fell onto her notebook.
"You have raw talent, Mae-chan. You just have to burst out of all your worries and anxieties and sincerely believe you could do it."
Looking at her teacher, Mae noticed the trust reflecting in his baby blue eyes.
With another sigh of defeat, Mae bobbed her head. "Fine..."
Ringo's eyelids shot up. "Really?"
She raised an eyebrow at him, frowning. "What does that 'really?' mean?"
Ringo winced. "Usually you're so adamant about not doing these type things no matter what I say, so-"
"I'll do it." Even Mae found her words unbelievable. And yet she was saying them. Why was that?
Ringo broke out into a wide grin. What exactly had happened to her?
"Okay then! How about you start looking for a tune now!"

☆ Local Daycare ☆
"Oto-nii! Come help me out!"
"No, help me!"
"No Oto-nii said he's helping me!"
"Haha, one at a time," Otoya laughed as the kids tugged him in all directions.
"He really is popular," Tokiya sighed, flipping through a book as he was seated on the carpet.
"Toki-nii, help me over here!"
Some other kids did the same to serious bluenette as they did to Otoya, while the girls were watching him in awe a few feet away. Though they were little, they still had to admit he was handsome.
"Hey! I'm not a toy!?" Syo yelled, struggling to break free from death's grip. A bunch of kids were crawling up his body while others were laughing and giggling as they coloured on his face with markers.
"NO! STOP!?!"
"And that's how Piyo-chan saved the world." Natsuki closed the book he was reading to a girl who clapped crazily, smiling wide.
"Piyo-chan is so amazing!" the girl cried. "This is my favourite book!"
The blond flashed her a similar smile, laughing. The girl giggled too, and opened her mouth.
