E P I L O G U E :

☆ Shining Saotome's Office ☆ Lunch ☆

"It's great to have you aboard, Miss. Akahana~ You will definitely have a great last few months here-desuu~!"

While Shining Saotome spoke to Mae, he was doing weird dance moves, catching her off guard. But knowing that this was the eccentric principal of the school, Mae did the one thing she should.

She bowed politely. "Yes! I'll definitely try my best!"

She got back up, wearing a determined expression. That's why she decided to come to this academy after all.

Walking through the bustling streets, Mae exhaled a breath. It was finally tomorrow: the day she was leaving for Saotome Academy.

Mae swallowed hard. She did tell everyone about her decision, and they all supported her whole-heartedly. They even told her that they'd meet her in the showbiz after they debut next year. Knowing them all, Mae believed that they would.

Taking in her surroundings, Mae smiled to herself before she headed towards that special place of theirs.

☆ Local Park ☆ Afternoon ☆

Sauntering into the park, Mae's eyes fell upon his fiery red hair in the distance. Waving her hand, she called out to him: "Ittoki-kun!"

The redhead halted juggling the soccer ball before he picked it up and ran up to her. He looked her over, grinning, "Akahana, what are you doing here?"

Giggling, she responded, "Can't I come to the park whenever I want?"

"O-oh, yeah..." Otoya blushed. Mae exhaled dreamily at his reaction.

He was so cute!

"Um..." Otoya began, recovering from his embarrassment. He searched Mae's face, "Are you leaving now?"

Mae's lips tugged upwards and she bobbed her head, before staring back up at him.

Above everything else, she was really going to miss being around him the most. Even though it's only been a few months since she met him, who would've thought she'd end up here now; going to school, composing music, liking somebody so much.

Even though this was the cliché moment in those books and movies, she wasn't going to confess that she likes him.

Not because it'd be harder to leave that way and all those sappy things like she thought. That wasn't the case.

It was because she didn't have to. Otoya had gotten from her how grateful she was, she might as well be carrying a sign saying 'THANK YOU SO MUCH.'

Sure her feelings had surpassed admiration and gratitude, but her reasons didn't change. Maybe Otoya doesn't know how much she liked him though what did it matter.

Her feelings were way too much to be able to put into words. She could even write a whole book about it and it still wouldn't be enough.

"I see..." Otoya cracked a smile too, grinning from ear to ear, "I know you'll be able to do it."

And that smile... That smile is what she was going to miss the most. His bright, melting smiles that couldn't stop you from smiling back and told you you could do anything if you put your mind to it; his smiles that worked magic on people; her.

"I'll be waiting for you," Mae told him, not being to stop that contagious smile growing on her face.

"I'll definitely become an idol and sing your songs, Akahana," Otoya promised.

Chuckling, Mae raised an eyebrow. "You say that like I'm actually going to graduate..."

"You will," he assured, "Just watch."

Mae nudged him playfully, "Okay, okay, enough of that."

She stared at him one last time, burning every one of his features into memory, in case what he said would come true. Otoya stared right back, so many emotions roaming throughout the both of them that they couldn't say, but didn't have to.

Mae knew that because of his smiles, she could believe what he told her. His smiles always filled her with hope.

His smiles worked magic on her: smile magic.

That's why she was so sure. They'd both be sure to debut and be able to work alongside each other, be beside each other once again.

It was a promise.
