It started with a sore throat. He had woken up next to Julie, sunlight bleeding in through the curtains and immediately rolled over to grab his guitar, with the instrument between his knees he sighed and ran his hands over his face. His index fingers prying into the corners of his eyes to rid them of sleep, he felt strange, he wiggled his nose and immediately realised his nose was just a tad runny. No biggey. Luke stretched and yawned, his guitar still tight in between his knees, his back clicked and he groaned before he got up slowly and the guitar fell forward but he caught it with ease and picked it up. The acoustic was grabbed by its neck before Luke put the strap around him and walked downstairs, heading straight for the studio, it was a beautiful day with the autumn leaves dancing along the path to the studio and the wind blowing gently.
It was a perfect day for a picnic or even just a walk, hands held and splashing about in the leaves, hearing them crunch as he and Julie danced to a song he had pre-recorded as he didn't want Alex and Reggie stood there playing instruments as Luke and Julie tried to have a cute date-it would be awkward. The brunette was excited at the mere thought and he reminded himself to ask Julie about it, later, music was to be played! Luke ran into the studio, bobbing his head along as he bounced ideas around in his mind, the studio was filled with cold air and was empty. After all the sun was quite low in the sky so it must be a least 7:00am, Reggie and Alex had fallen asleep during a movie last night so they were on the couch back in the Molina household and not in the studio which mean Luke could be as loud as he wanted and he loved when he could do that.
He loved strumming the guitar harshly for that metallic ring or when he got so lost in the music the sound increased and his pics broke but he'd simply grab another and start it all over again. It was cold weather and Luke wanted to write a song for Julie, not one with her, one where she could pry and talk about her feelings for him, he wanted to be able to gift her one specifically for her. Thing is, he didn't know where to begin, Julie was beautiful and talented, a joy to have around and she was too special... So he thought and he thought hard, sat on the studio couch with the guitar in his lap, guitar pic in his mouth as he tuned the guitar to suit what he was going for. When he played with the band it was his electric guitar he favoured but he wanted to surprise Julie and he wanted it to be romantic so a soft acoustic just seemed like the way to go.
"What has been my favourite memory with her recently?" Luke broke the silence, talking to himself as he strummed his now tuned guitar, all the chords were perfectly tuned and he sighed in relief before his absent strumming began. He used his finger to strum to make the guitar quieter so he could hear himself thinking out-loud, it was how he brainstormed after all. "My favourite memory...." his thumb got caught on the top E string and it rang out with a loud noise, he sighed before he gasped and a wide grin broke onto his face.

Alex and Reggie were snoring away on the couch, Reggie's head tilted back, his slicked back hair had fallen to the sides and concealed his eye, his mouth wide open as he snored on his back. He had his back to Alex's as Alex was asleep on his stomach, his arm supporting his chin, his dribble leaving a wet patch on his sleeve and his hair too had fallen down to conceal his closed eyes. The two had fallen asleep during a Star Wars marathon with Reggie on top of Alex; all the snacks were gone, packets strung around the coffee table, empty mugs that were stained with the ruminants of hot chocolate sat in-between the packaging of snacks. Candy wrappings, chip packets, empty cans of pop, some cups even had the empty can of pop inside them to reduce the space taken up on the table but it didn't exactly make that much of a difference.
Julie and Luke had moved from one couch to the other couch, staring at the credits of the screen Luke was beginning to doze off, he was tired and they had been rehearsing all day, he was hyper and always so full of energy. Him and Reggie had been bouncing off of each other all day while Julie and Alex criticised them, telling them to focus and more. Just as Luke closed his eyes the couch squeaked in defiance as Julie sat up, she stood up and grabbed Luke's hands yanking him up causing him to gasp and stare at her in confusion but she smirked and picked up an empty mug from the table. Who knew if it was hers and now looking at all the cups Luke wasn't sure if he knew which one was his so he grabbed one randomly and stared at Julie awaiting the next instruction.
