I looked down at my wristwatch. 'Shit' I thought. "Alright, I'll talk to you tomorrow now. K?" I said to the phone. "You should hang up this time!" Aaron chuckled. "Alright bye, Aaron! See you soon?" I smiled. "Yeah. Is the mall good?" He asked, and I approved. I heard him say bye and put the phone back on the landline. I sighed and started smiling to myself.

Then I remembered again that I had to meet everyone at the mall. I hurriedly got ready and headed to the Star Court Mall. I bought a bike recently just for this stuff. I got on it and made my way there.

Then by accident, I found Mike on his way too. "With El again huh?" I laughed at him. "Shut up! You were probably talking to your boyfriend Aaron again." He talked back. "I'm not dating that guy, he's just a friend of mine." I scoffed. I still had my eyes on somebody else, my good friend Dustin..!

I know I should've gotten over it by now but I just can't. It's hard to explain. "Hey! Y/n! Are you listening?!" Mike shouted at me, which got me out of my thoughts. "Oh yeah, what's wrong?" I asked. "You're turning the wrong way..." He said

"You should've punched me or something.." I scoffed. He laughed. I turned around and followed his way to the mall. We finally got there, it was very busy since the place was very new still. "You guys are late! Again." Lucas reminded us. "We're gonna miss the opening.." Will complained.

Mike helped lock my bike in the bike racks. "Yeah, if you keep whining about it. Let's go!" Mike replied. "Yeah, sorry guys," I said and we headed inside. " 'If you guys keep whining about it nyah nyah nyah' " Lucas mocked Mike. "Just please stop talking dude.." Mike scoffed.

"Let me guess you were busy?" Lucas started making kissing noises to make fun of him. "Oh yeah, real mature Lucas.." Mike sighed. "Oh El! I wish we could makeout forever, and never hang out with any of our friends again!" Lucas began again. "Oh, Aaron! I'll ignore all my friends, just for you!" He made fun of me. "Lucas stop." Max sighed at her boyfriend being immature.

"Will thinks it's funny!" He laughs. "Because it is!" Will agreed. "Yeah, it's so funny that I wanna spend romantic time with my girlfriend!" Mike said sarcastically. "I don't even like Aaron," I uttered to myself. "I'm spending romantic time with my girlfriend!" Lucas put an arm around Max's shoulder.

We all had to shove through a bunch of people, on the escalator, to be able to get to the movie in time. Mike bumped into a girl, "ugh! Watch it!" She said. "Yeah! Watch it nerds!" Erica, Lucas' little sister, repeated at us. "Isn't it past your bedtime?" Lucas asked her. "Isn't time you died?!" She shouted back. "Psycho!" "Butthead!" "Mallrat!" "Fart face!" I guess that was the last straw since Lucas blew a raspberry at her.

"Oh, now that was mature!" Max tugged his arm. I laughed at them. We finally got to the Scoops Ahoy, where my brother was currently working. I rang the front bell a couple of times. "Hey dingus, your children are here!" Robin, his coworker, yelled at him. Steve opened the back windows and sighed. "Again? Seriously?" Mike then rang the bell again to taunt him.

We were let through to the back so we could get to the movies from the 'workers only' hallways. Steve rushed us and I slipped him a five. He took the money. "I swear if anybody hears about this-" He started.

"We're dead!" We said in unison. Mike led the way and checked to make sure that the coast was clear. Once it was, we all snuck into the theater. We were going to watch the Day of the Dead. We pushed our way through the seats and I got to my spot. Mike and Will sat next to me while Max and Lucas sat somewhere else with each other.
