- 3rd Person POV

After Max escaped her trance she led everyone to the spot where she saw the big clock. "It was here. Right here," Max panted. "A grandfather clock?" Nancy asked. "It was so real... and then when I got closer suddenly I just- I woke up," Max explained. "It was like she was in a trance or something," Dustin said. "That's what Eddie said happened to Chrissy," Y/n frowned. Max turned around with a worried look. "That's not even the bad part..." she said before they went back to the counselor's room.

Max began to tell everyone about Fred and Chrissy's symptoms and how bad they were. "Chrissy's headaches started a week ago, Fred's six days ago... I've been having them for five days," Max shakily said. "I don't know how long I have... all I know is that.. for Fred and Chrissy, they both died less than 24 hours after their first vision. And I just saw that goddamn clock so... look like I'm gonna die tomorrow," she began to tear up. Then everyone heard a door opening and they jumped.

"Stay here," Steve looked at everyone and grabbed a lamp for defense. Everyone decided to follow anyway. The person.. or thing? Came running into everyone which made them all scream. Dustin shouted holding onto Y/n, she wasn't amused because it was just Lucas. "It's me!" Lucas yelled. "Lucas?!" Nancy said. "What's wrong with you Sinclair?! I could've taken you out with this lamp!" Steve scolded. "Sorry guys! I was- biking for eight miles... give me a second..." Lucas panted. "We've got a code red," he panted out. "What?" Steve said. "Dustin-, I've been with Jason, Aaron, Patrick, and Andy and they've gone totally off the rails, they're trying to capture Eddie and they think you know where he is, you're in terrible danger!" he ranted. "All right. Yeah, that definitely sucks, but we've got bigger problems than Jason now..." Dustin sighed looking over to Max. Lucas looked over to Max and held eye contact.

The next morning, Jason, Aaron, Andy, and Patrick stopped by a couple of people's homes, First Lucas and then Y/ns. "No answer?" Jason asked as Aaron walked up to the car. "Just her parents, they said Y/n missed tennis practice and haven't seen her since," Aaron sighed, jumping into the back seat. "She probably is messin' around with that Dustin kid. Man, she does make wishes come true, heard he's been eyeing her for months," Andy snickered. "I'll beat his ass," Aaron scoffed. "Alright that's enough, Y/n wouldn't do that to us... She was friends with Chrissy!" Jason shouts. The car went silent as he started the car.

- Your POV

I sat next to Dustin as they began discussing some of this Victor Creel stuff Nancy and Robin found. I look up and see Max writing quickly. Dustin looked at me, "any idea of what she's writing?" He asked. "Did she sleep?" I asked. "I mean... would you?" Lucas looked at me. The door opened, and Nancy and Robin walked down. "We have a plan," Nancy nods.

"Thanks to Nancy's newspaper minions, we are now rockstar psychology students at the University of Norte Dame!" Robin announced. "I'm now Ruth," Nancy said. "And I'm Rose," Robin nods. They explain their plan to sneak into the asylum as researchers, convince the workers to meet Victor Creel, and then get answers about how he survived. Steve questions them, he assumed he was joining them this time, which he is wrong about. I laughed to myself.

- 3rd Person POV

Max finished writing her final letter, she wrote the name down, and sighed. "I know you guys are staring at me," she called them out. Steve, Lucas, Y/n, and Dustin tried playing it off like they weren't. "How your eyes boring into the back of my head is protecting me from Vecna, I don't know," she scoffed. She got up and walked over to them with the letters and handed them one each. Dustin began to peel the letter open but Max stopped him saying it wasn't for now but just in case the plan didn't work out. Y/n sighed, as Max stopped Lucas from reassuring her about the situation.

Max took a deep breath and looked over to the walkie-talkie. She grabbed it. "If we go to East Hawkins, will this reach Pennhurst?" She asked. "Of course, yeah," Dustin nodded. "Why are we talking about East Hawkins?" Steve asked. Steve later realized that Max wanted him to take her over there. "No! No! No!" He argued. Max went over to his car anyway, he continued to refuse while she argued back. Steve quickly locked his car doors. "Open the door," she said. "No!" He refused. "I know a good lawyer," Max looked at him. Steve scoffed and took out his keys. "Henderson, that super walkie of yours better reach Pennhurst," Steve threatened. While everyone hopped into the car.

"I wanted the front seat," Y/n scoffed. "Sorry,"
Dustin mumbled.

Y/n sat next to the window uncomfortably, she could feel the tension between Lucas and Max. She laid her head down and smiled to herself when she saw Lucas taking glances at Max. Then they finally arrived at the trailer park. Max jumped out of the car once Steve parked. "Talk to her," Y/n said out of the blue. "What?" Lucas asked. "I see you, you're like... super obviously staring," a smirk crept onto Y/ns face. "Could say the same for him," Lucas whispered to Y/n as he pointed to Dustin. Y/n shook her head no while smiling, it seemed like she was warming up to the idea of them redeveloping their friendship- or um their relationship?

Max finally got back she was panting. She immediately got in the car, the others did the same too. "Did something happen?" Lucas asked. "Can we please just go?" Max rushed. Steve finally drove off.

"Turn here," Max said as they drove to the cemetery. "Here?" Dustin asked. Max nodded. She got out of the car then Lucas rushed out for her. Lucas tried talking to her but Max just walked away. Everyone waited and waited. Max was taking too long now, longer than earlier. "Alright it's been long enough," Steve said getting up and heading to Max. "Steve, just give her some time..." Lucas refused. "I have, alright? If she wants to get a lawyer she can, " Steve brushed him off.

Steve shouted at Max, trying to wake her up. The other three were caught off guard by this. "Something's up..." Y/n whispered. Y/n decided to go up and check on her too. Dustin and Lucas followed behind. Everyone continued to shout at Max to wake her up, but her eyes were pulled back and she couldn't seem to budge. "Dustin! Dustin! Call Nancy and Robin, go! go!" Y/n pushed him, with a worried look. He complied, rushing to the car. They tried everything, yelling, shaking her, Dustin was still yelling at his Walkie-Talkie, but nothing seemed to work. Dustin rushed back with Max's Walkman and asked everyone what her favorite song was. "Oh! Oh! This one, Kate Bush," Y/n gave it to him. He played the song and put the headphones on her.

Suddenly, Max began to lift up into the air. Everyone stood up in confusion and shouted for her. "Max! Max! Wake up!" At that moment, Max realized how much everyone cared for her as all her memories were coming back to her. She finally woke up and dropped to the ground. Lucas held onto her, as she was hyperventilating. Everyone kept reassuring her as she panted. "I'm still here. I'm still here," Max says.
