Kathy and I are at some company building, where she has an appointment. I had walked her to the entrance because it was almost sundown, and had noticed a guy that looked like he was trying, and failing, to break into a car. So, I keep him in my peripheral as I sat in the back seat of the car, with the back doors open, organizing to pass time. When I see him coming my way I sigh and grab my Buck knife, slipping it onto my belt before meeting him at the back of my car and keeping eye contact even though he's a full head taller than me, "You really want to do this?" He chose to ignore me and go to the opened backdoor on my driver's side. Sighing again I turn around and sit back in the passenger side backseat, and watch him mess up my recently organized papers, "looking for anything in particular?" He looked over at me and clumsily opened a butterfly knife, while glaring at me he spoke, "just give me anything of value." I look at him for a second before sighing and holding out my hand, for him to hand me the butterfly knife, when he doesn't I huff and hand him my Buck knife before snatching the butterfly knife quickly and inspecting it. Frowning I smoothly open and close it a few times before looking at him and handing it back to him while taking my Buck knife back and explaining, "you have to move your thumb faster, that'll make the transition smoother...." He looks at me bewildered for a second before doing as I said and nodding once his movement were more fluid.
