Chapter 1: New friend?

Third person's POV

Heather was wrapping up her stream, and it was around 11 pm for her. She quietly placed her headphones down, turned her chair around, and slowly stood up, making her way toward the thing that never failed to amaze her. She stood in front of the big glass wall of her apartment and took in the captivating view of the city lights.

It was her last week of vacation before school started, and instead of going to sleep, she decided to head out. She put on a hoodie and proceeded to gather some essential items such as her wallet and phone. Then, she headed out of her condo, making her way to the elevator. Putting on her headphones, she listened to Cigarettes After Sex as the elevator descended.

As the elevator came to a halt, signaling she had reached the ground floor, she stepped out and was greeted by the dimmed lights of the lobby. As she walked towards the exit, she took off her headphones and greeted the person in front of her with a smile.

"Late night walks po ma'am ulit?" The guard asked smiling as he opened the door for her (Late night walk again ma'am?)

"Ah yes po kuya, as usual," Heather replied bowing

"Ingat ka po Ma'am" The guard then said as he was closing the door (Take care, Ma'am)

Heather then proceeded to put her headphones back on and after she had walked around, she finally started to make her way to the usual place she went after late-night walks.

The quiet sound of the front door opening brought the staff's attention to the person entering and once they realized who was entering the shop a smile was brought to their face seeing their favorite customer was there again.

"Wow, this is a milestone you're here quite early ma'am" One of the staff Andrei said to Heather as she slowly made her way up to them.

"Didn't feel like taking an hour-long walk around BGC so I just went here instead and I also had my laptop with me" She replied as she sat down and put down her things Ifrontof her

"Ah,h I see, Usual order?" Angie the co-owner of the place said as she prepared her things.

"yes pls. Thanks Ang." Heather replied then proceeded to set down her laptop and start going through her emails

Heather did have someone to go through her emails which was her aunt with whom she shares the condo but what her aunt does is sort out the emails which mostly consist of brand offering partnerships or product reviews on which she thinks Heather would like or not which Heather would, later on, look thoroughly during her free time.

"Grabe I still can't believe you're the azurabxby that we watched streamed gaming earlier" Andrei teased as he served her a Spanish latte and a French toast.

"Yea,h but malapit na mag start ang class mo do you think you will be able to handle both?" Angie said as she sat down beside Heather (Yeah but you're class starts soon do you think you will be able to handle both?)

"We'll see how things go, but I think my free time will be reduced once classes start, but no negative thoughts, of course, I'll manage., Heather said with a determined voice

Seeing hHeatherwas doing some work today Angie and Andrei decided to give her some alone time and they proceeded to go back to the counter. It had been a month since they had known Heather both of them were amazed by the young adult by her talent and hard work.

She was a very closed-off and shy person when they first met her but they learned that she was quite a chatterbox once she warmed up to people. She was always in their shop at midnight with no doubt either to chat with them or to do some work of her own. The coffee shop wasn't crowded at midnight for obvious reasons but it remained open because it was connected to a bar that Angie co-owned with her brother.
