Third's P.O.V:
In New Orleans, Louisiana, back in 1931"My Little Lamb, why are you crying? I am okay. I told you that I would take care of that pig."
"You idiot! You shouldn't have done that! You could've gotten killed! Do you have any idea how worried I was for you?! I don't care if you took care of him! You had me so worried!!" a 5'2 pale-skinned woman who was wearing a grey sweater with blue jeans and black boots with her fiery red in a messy braid and her dark blue eyes filled with tears while yelling at a man. The man was 6 feet tall, wearing a business suit and small rounded glasses, with hazel-colored eyes and light tan skin. He looked at the woman; his brown hair was short yet slick back. He also wore a devilish smile, but around the woman, he stopped smiling due to how much the woman was crying, and she looked so worried about him. He never understood why she cared so much about him. he was covered in blood, yet she didn't care about that. She was more worried about him getting hurt. It confused him a lot. "My Little Lamb, don't cry. It's okay. I'm okay. Nothing bad will ever happen to me. I promise." He whispers this to her and holds her close before he feels her gripping his shirt tightly and crying her heart out.
"Swear it. I want you to swear it to the stars! Swear it that you won't get yourself killed anymore!"
"Amber-"
"Swear it right now!" Amber yelled at him and looked at him before he saw the fire in her eyes, and he slowly gave her a devilish smile. He knew he found someone who would go to hell and back for him. He looks at her and holds her face gently before whispering, "I swear to the stars that nothing bad will happen to us. I swear to the stars that I will do everything to protect you. I swear to the stars that I will always return to you." Amber was crying and whimpering before leaning into his hands and nodding slowly. But of course, the stars couldn't hear Alastor's promise since the heavens decided to play a cruel joke on the two broken souls who found each other to heal pieces.
21 years later, in the Pride RingAmber's P.O.V:
I felt something underneath me. It didn't feel like the same cold wooden floors I was in. I slowly open my eyes to see a dark, purplish-red color in the sky and quickly sit up to see a few shops around me. This...this isn't New Orleans. Okay, remember what happened last, Amber. I was walking home, holding bags of groceries to cook for my son and me. I remember something covering my mouth... waking up to a wooden cabin... then pain and... someone yelling. Then... I died. Oh, stars above me. I...I must be in hell. Oh no... no, no, no! I covered my mouth and quickly stood up before running until I bumped into someone and fell on the ground, looking at a pig demon. "I'm so sorry. I didn't see where I was going. I hope I didn't ruin your suit, sir."
"A little thing ruining my suit? Heh. That's cute. You look like you need help. How about I help you out?"
"I...I would appreciate that, good sir. May I know your name?"
"The name Agrona. Come on, little Lamb. I'll take care of you."
"Thank you. My name is Amber, Mister Agrona," I said, following Agrona to a small butcher shop. He opened the door, making me smile at him before I walked in. I truly hope that I will survive this day. I know I will. I hope that my son is alive. I can't protect him anymore after my Radio Star isn't with him. I looked around the butcher shop and smiled before I heard Agrona say, "You're quite lucky I found when I did. This year's extermination day was quite brutal. You should be thankful that no exterminator found you at all." I looked at him, confused, before he kept speaking, "Every year, heaven sends exterminators to kill all demons in their sight. You are fortunate that happened to you."
"I...I suppose I am lucky. I didn't realize. Is there any way to repay you?"
"Oh, I have the perfect way. Just work for me, at least for a few years, and then I'll let you go. I promise."
"Is that all? Um... I suppose so. I will need to find a job to earn some money."
"that's perfect! Just sign this contract here, and I promise to take care of you." He said, holding up a contract and a pen before I gently took the pen and signed it. I think I will survive in hell. What's the worst thing that could happen when I sign this little contract?
