Renesmee's pov
I've heard stories my entire life about the nightmare my mom Bella had about the Volturi coming for me before she even knew she was pregnant with me.. So when Jake wakes me, saying "Renesmee, you're having a nightmare! Sweetheart, calm down, open your eyes!" I feel him shake me.. I'm sobbing when I'm finally able to wake up. "Hey, Shh, I'm here Nessie, you were having a nightmare, but it's okay, it's over!" He gently kisses my tears away.. "Would it help to tell me what happened?" "The Volturi came for me again!! Before we could even get married!" I sob. "That's crazy Ness, the pack, not to mention your family, would never let anything happen to you.." He tries to tell me, while rubbing my back soothingly."But it felt so real!" The last word breaking on a shaky sob. "Shh, snuggle close," he croons, "I've got you try to go back to sleep, nothing bad is going to happen sweet girl!" He promises me. I know, I should just let it go, but, I can't help but ask, "how can you know that for sure Jake!?" "Because I simply won't let it happen! Those bloodsuckers won't get their hands on you!" I shutter against his chest, burying my face in his shoulder.. he holds me tightly. After a few minutes, I'm able to go back to sleep, but it's anything, but peaceful. This would be a great time for my Uncle Jasper to be near me, because he could use his power to calm me, and ease both mine and Jacob's minds.

A few days later
Jacob's pov
"I have to patrol La Push today Ness, but I'm going to send Seth Clearwater to watch out for you, please don't go out hunting alone, the pack has come across some of the Volturi vamps in the area..." I watch as my fiance and imprint is nearly overwhelmed by panic. I hate that she is so scared of the Volturi coven, but the treaty is clear, until or unless they threaten the
Quileute people, the pack, one of our imprints,or come on to tribe lands, we can't just randomly attack them.. The rules shifted slightly when Renesmee was young, the Cullen's and the Denali's are both allowed to come on our land in good faith, as long as they are well fed, and don't harm anyone, it was very important to Renesmee and I that her family be able to visit her here.. Sam Uley, my Co alpha was a bit cautious at first, but it's been nearly six and a half years without incident, so he's gotten rather used to the Cullen's coming and going..
Renesmee's arms wrap around me breaking me out of my thoughts.. "Okay, no hunting without Seth, I promise." She agrees, but then I watch her expression change. "He's going to get bored out of his mind, I'm sure my dad or uncles would be happy -" I cut her off, you can get whoever you want to go with you, but Seth will be there regardless, because he's under orders!" She groans "Jake!! You're so bossy!" I put a finger to her lips. "This is not up for debate." I tell her, trying to put finality in my tone. I move my finger away, taking her left hand and kiss her fingers. "I refuse to put you, the holder of my heart, at any kind of risk." She sighs, a contented sound,
"The holder of your heart huh?" She asks me, grinning so wide that both of her dimples appear. "Oh, you know you love it, when I get cheesy!" I tease stealing a kiss. Just then there's a loud knock at my door, that'll be Seth, he'll get you home, and stay with you, until I can relieve him later. I love you sweet girl! I'll see you in a few hours, behave!" "Always!" She says, giving me a look that's just a little too innocent. Stretching up on her toes to give me a soft kiss, exactly the kind that she knows drives me crazy. When we finally open the door for Seth a few moments later, he snarks, "well, at least you two have clothes on this time.. You are very lucky I can control my thoughts around Edward, Jacob, or he would probably, most likely, kill you!" Seth laughs, Ness rolls her eyes, Seth pulls her into a tight hug.. "Seth! Take care of my girl!" I tell him.. "Aye aye Alpha!" Seth says, his voice cheerful as always..

Later with Jacob doing his patrol
About an hour into my Patrol shift with Leah Clearwater, Brady Fuller, and a new wolf who's just shifted for the first time, Adam Silverwood when I smell 4 vampires Felix Volturi, Alec Volturi and 2 others, that I've never smelled before, I send for the other wolves on patrol with me, using my telepathy, and telling Leah, to howl sending a signal to Sam in case we need reinforcements, because this time they are on tribe land.
Felix wastes no time forcing Adam against the cliffs, I hurry to get his flank, as best as I can, in the limited space that's available. I try my hardest to get the vampire's attention on me, and off of the young and experienced wolf. Felix isn't having it, I see him start to lunge for Adam's throat, fangs bared, I don't hesitate, I jump between them, forcing Adam to the left, part of the cliff side comes down on the vampire, when the vibrations from my forceful shove cause a rock slide. Luckily, none of the pieces land directly on me or Adam, we would have been severely injured, I doubt it would have killed us, but it would have broken our bigger bones, taking at least a few days to heal, and leaving us down for the count.. Right now we have to do everything possible to fight safely, and avoid getting hurt, because we have to stop these vampires! Before they can succeed with their plans, because whatever their plans are, I know, they can't be good! Adam and I get to higher ground while Felix is partially buried by a pile of boulders.. I give Adam instructions using our telepathic connection, knowing that when Felix comes for us he's going to be majorly pissed off. By the time Felix finishes getting free of the boulders and finds us, Embry Call is at my right side, Adam at my left. Leah's howl splits the air, signaling Sam is down and been injured, but her howl distracts Felix enough that I'm able to lock my jaws around his throat tearing his head from his body. "Take over here, Embry! Burn every piece! I have to go check on Sam and Leah!" He quickly agrees, shouting, "GO!!" "Adam, come with me and watch my back, there's are still 3 vampires unaccounted for!" Adam nods his head at me, staying close behind me, nose to the ground, as we rush to Sam and Leah.. Meanwhile I can hear Leah's frantic, stressed filled, and groggy thoughts.. " Shit, Adam you need to shift back Now!!! And for the love of God hold your breath." I shift back quickly, seeing out of the corner of my eye, that Adam's followed my orders.. Sam and Leah are deeply unconscious and surrounded by black mist when we get close to them.. I put a hand on Adam's chest to stop him from getting any closer, knowing that if we breathe in, or let it touch us, we'll succumb to it as well.. I pull my cell phone out of my start texting Bella to get here now. Her shield is the only thing I know of that can keep out Alec's mist..
